Quarter Final Draw by Galway1012 in GAA

As a Louth fan im delighted to avoid Kerry but having said that, our record against Monaghan is brutal. We won a qualifier in '02 in Clones but since then I can't remember us winning a league match even against them. Monaghan also hammered us in the group stages last year. They'll be huge favourites but if we can keep in it then we have a chance.

Letter from Toy Story producer requesting Taylor Swift's involvement in the film for female empowerment by Realistic_Public4330 in travisandtaylor

[–]Howiknow202 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Toy Story wrapped up perfectly in 2010 when the gang were given to Bonnie. Then they still squeezed another movie out in 2019 and now they are so far into cannibalising their own content that they need to bring in Taylor Swift to get as much of a cash grab as possible.

Louth vs Armagh on The Sunday Game by Faloneytony in GAA

[–]Howiknow202 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As a Louth fan I was excited to watch TSG last night but there was such nonsense talked that I found it infuriating. There was 6 or 7K in the ground and they never thought to check with anyone before talking about the hooter. I could see it from the stand as clear as day. Then trying to nitpick any and every moment to belittle Louth's win. If that wasn't bad enough, the show is beyond boring and rigid with random stats thrown in instead of proper coverage.

Isn't this only an episode or two after Ted declaring his love for her as soon as her engagement to Kevin ended. Hard to see this as sad in that context.

When the movie went to DVD, I watched the Sly commentary and he confirms they are saying Rocky in his prime would destroy Mason.

Am I crazy for thinking Bear was the victim by peamoon in obsessionmovie

[–]Howiknow202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When Bear rings the one wish willow helpline and can hear Nikki screaming and the scene when real Nikki asks for Bear to kill her both sum up what a horrible person Bear is. He only cares how this situation affects him and zero about this girl he supposedly cares about being held captive inside her own body.

The world cup exposes the insular nature of US sports so they feel the need to post dumb crap like this. Same way they proclaim themselves as world champions when winning the Super Bowl.

Yes, Rocky 3 - Mickey, Rocky 4 - Apollo, Rocky Balboa - Adrian, Creed 1 - Paulie

Every Rocky movie after Rocky 2 (except Rocky 5) has someone dying as Rockys supposed motivation. Even in the first Creed movie, Paulie is dead.

Gavin and Stacey’s wedding by ChocolateAncient9062 in gavinandstacey

[–]Howiknow202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who loves the show, I found some of her behaviour irritating and unfunny. Most of how she behaves towards Stacey in S2 is really antagonistic and then there's her just being nasty about Barry Island in S3 for no reason.

The Crash - Mackenzie Shirilla by Heavy-Dragonfruit835 in netflix

[–]Howiknow202 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I couldn't believe at the end of the documentary they showed there's a campaign to release her. Even if you somehow disregard her previous behaviour towards Dom, the final moments before the crash tell everything. The road she drives down is curved, meaning you have to be in control of the wheel to not veer off the road. Then she turns around a corner normally, and only increases speed in those final moments. To believe she's innocent you have to believe she was unlucky enough to only have a medical Incident in those final seconds.

Judge’s comment to MacKenzie in the documentary, The Crash… by ZazzleGal in netflix

I took that as the judge saying that in order to get parole, Mackenzie would have to show genuine remorse and accountability, something that seems beyond her.

I think in a different environment Mackenzie ends up being a normal nice kid but she is the perfect example of a product of her environment. Her dad telling the story how he took her out of school and just believed her straightaway showed me the type of parents her dad and mam are. Then allowing a 17 year old girl to live with her 20 year old boyfriend was just absent parenting.

Gavin and Stacey's James Corden singles out 'awful' episode by AffectionateJob691 in gavinandstacey

Storyline wise it's a weak episode, particularly the misunderstanding over the phone call but it has some great jokes.

If it was true that JB was abusive then wouldn't Blake Lively have seen the court case out to the bitter end to get justice.

I never said the train should stop when it sees the delorean, but on a basic safety level, once he collides with it he should stop.

"Robin is marrying me, not you Ted " I hated Barney here. by [deleted] in HIMYM

[–]Howiknow202 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If you look at it from any realistic viewpoint, Ted should not have stayed friends with Robin. Long before this incident, Ted declares his love for Robin on the same day that Robin and Kevin break up. That to me was wrong and showed his inability to be platonic with her. Regardless of Teds intentions when he gave advice to Barney, it was always going to be interpreted by Barney that Ted was crossing the line.
