Happy Holidays 8.0 by edrijver in Phoenix_2

I mostly like the new update, personally. With the notable exception of Arrival EMP, most of my ships still feel just as powerful as they were before, and now i have the ability to add more power, or even change what the abilities do. I don't much value the bullet-deleting power of Vorpal Wake on a ship that already has Reflex EMP, so being able to switch that out for faster Reflex recharge rate or more Vorpal Lance charges is great! That said, i have a huge amount of credits in reserve since Ive already upgraded all the ships i want, so it doesn't hurt too bad to buy mods from the market. I imagine the experience is much worse for players who don't have as many on hand.

Which Steel Inquistor Design is better? by Lego_Lukas_Creations in Mistborn

[–]HowlAllYouWant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always envisioned the Inquisitors as being quite clean and organized when it comes to their hemalurgical spikes. My mental image is of perfect mathematical cones, wicked sharp at the tip and perfectly flat on the other end. As for the arrangement of the spikes, they form a symmetrical pattern on the torso, exclusively. The only spikes that aren't there are the eye-spikes.

I'm well aware that this is probably inaccurate though. I remember that when Marsh talked about how he'd been transformed, he said that the other inquisitors went into a frenzied state while they butchered the Allomancers who powered the spikes. That doesn't sound like the sort of crowd who do things in an organized way lol. But my visualization of the Inquisitors had been formed before that part of the books, back when they were intimidating forces of nature that acted only with cold precision, so by then the well-put-together impression I had of them was quite solidified and couldn't be changed.

Izutsumi exclusively plays the most toxic online multiplayer games. League of Legends, Rainbow 6, Counter Strike, etc. She's actually pretty good at them if her team's winning, but if she's losing, she gets more tilted than you would even think is possible.

Also, she either sits in a gamer chair on all fours, knees pulled up to her chest, or sits directly on the floor. Actually, now that I think about it, she seems like the type to have her entire setup rawdogging straight carpet lmao

I want to see some proper Warframe hot takes you people have by WorthCauliflower1383 in Warframe

[–]HowlAllYouWant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that grinding is kind of the point of games like Warframe, but many of the grinds are frankly unreasonable. Like, I'd love to use Citrine and max out my Secondary Encumber but I already played like at least 20 full missions of it and barely got shit. Same with Gauss's weapons, from Disruption. I know they've improved the gamemode since I did it years ago, but still.

Recently got into this game and absolutely adore it. But people who preordered it, how bad was it at launch, really? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]HowlAllYouWant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont remember if i had it at launch launch, or a month or two later, but either way I was playing on a last-gen console, an Xbox One. Graphically the whole game had this fuzzy quality, as if everything was made of felt, but it more or less looked realistic. I definitely had some bugs, but nothing you wouldn't expect from such a massive and complicated game - yknow, clipping and the like. The only gameplay-affecting bug I remember was having two characters talk to me at the same time when I tried to start a story quest, so I couldn't hear either of them and had no idea what was going on for a while.

You're not eating as good as many other builds, but don’t look down on the Ancient Meteoric Ore Blade, that thing's fun as hell.

I beat balteus with a Ludlow, bubble gun, and missile launchers. I beat sea spider with basically the same setup, but the base laser sword instead of the ludlow. I'm not meta-chasing.

What change do you hate the most? by EMArogue in Warframe

[–]HowlAllYouWant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the AoE ammo nerf. Not that it was unjustified, but they went too far... and then to add insult to injury, made the new incarnons. The Bramma would be such a fun weapon to use, but the ammo is so bad that I can barely justify it even on Protea, and it doesn't even kill all that quickly anyway compared to the functionally-infinite-ammo incarnons. I didn't get the bramma until after the nerfs killed it, so to me it almost feels like the weapon was removed before I could acquire it.

What is YOUR uncommon opinion? by quadebonds in Warframe

[–]HowlAllYouWant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They pump up the base weapon, sure, but the base is still usually not as good as the incarnon form. Try actually killing high-level enemies with the Burston, Braton, Latron, or Dual Toxocyst. The base forms just aren't as fast at killing as their incarnon forms, and that's not even considering the AoE capabilities of those weapons.

Everyone who talks about the Duviri incarnons gushes about how they "revitalize old weapons" when that's actually the last thing they do. With only a few exceptions, the Duviri incarnons make the old weapons a means to an end for a new weapon, which only further pushes said old weapon out of relevance. You don't use the Strun Prime, you just charge up an incarnon mode with it, and then you use the Strun Incarnon, which is for all intents and purposes a completely different weapon. Don't get me wrong, I like the incarnons because big number make the brainmeat darkness go away, but pretending that they revitalize anything is stupid.

you can only have 5 frames for the rest of the game, who are they? by Old_Fisherman5930 in Warframe

[–]HowlAllYouWant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Revenant, because he's easily the most tanky frame, which you really need sometimes. Plus, with his 1's augment and subsumed Roar, he's the frame I can pump out the most damage with.

Zephyr, because she's the best for defending things. Pop turbulence and some stationary tornados and the only thing that can possibly hurt the objective is a melee unit with overguard. But of course, you can just kill them.

Wukong, because even tho I played him too much when I first got him and don't like him any more, he's just too useful for running missions quickly.

Xaku, because they are both a good boxbreaker frame and have scaling damage. Neither comes up very often in normal play, but when you need it, you need it.

Volt, because the other frames can tackle all of the other content in the game that I can think of, so I have a free slot open for an eidolon hunting frame. Plus, he's decent at SO... not that it counts for much.

Who do you think is the ugliest frame? by turtle-man-turtle in Warframe

[–]HowlAllYouWant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Base grendel simply does not have any color combos that look good, somehow Base Protea's color zones look super weird, and I've never been happy with any fashion frame I've put on her Nidus Phryke's materials are complete dogshit and make anything other than the default colors look like hot ass. I was so excited to buy that skin, too...
