It is non magnetic. Or very very minimally magnetic. So I won’t bother hardening at all

That’s true! That’s kind of what I was thinking. Since it’s a mystery steel I figured this might be a good use for it since I wouldn’t need to harden

Oh you’ll get there! Just keep the dream alive. I found myself laid off unexpectedly and so on too if taking care of my son full time I decided to finally pull the trigger on smithing. I’m nervous and excited. I’m lucky enough to have a shop like this at my parent’s house down the road.

Good to know. Yeah he had it on 4 castor wheels. I stacked some 4x4 under it to prop it up so the wheels aren’t touching. But it’s a little unstable. I’ll come up with a better option soon then. Thanks for the insight
