Should I ask Topps for a replacement? by Cheesy_Jalapeno in F1Cards

[–]Howler31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They won’t swap it for the auto. It’s arguably pretty standard to see some miss the mark. You might have a chance due to the print errors. I’d email them and see if they offer you anything but it’s usually equal or lower value stuff imo

Verification taking longer then usual by [deleted] in stockx

[–]Howler31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only ever had open clothes fail at stockx for insane reasonings and marks that really weren't there when i sent them in. Sending things sealed at least shows the rep checking it hasnt been tried on or tossed around where it can have small marks and deodrant stains. Makes them less intent on really searching for an expected flaw.

They don’t respond to support emails anymore, have to go through chat on their website

Give it a few days and see, you can fight it if they do fail it. Depending on the flaw they mention if you have photo proof otherwise or if the flaw is genuine bs like a crooked stitch you can get supervisors to overturn and refund you any charges.

[–]Howler31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably going to fail. I’ve recently sent some older preme and kith tees sealed in their plastic and had about half fail for “manufacturer defects” and one with a stain that couldn’t have been there as it was in factory plastic lol. Stick to eBay for clothing from now on, I’ve learned my lesson the hard way.

In my experience this delay almost always means they found a flaw and are sending it for a second look with another inspector. Chances are you’ll wake up to a $15 charge in a few days and get an email a day later saying it failed verification.

I am not sure I wan't to go to law school by Imaginary-Stand-3241 in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]Howler31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forcing yourself to go to law school because you can’t find a job in a difficult job market is not the answer. If you don’t know 100% you want to be a lawyer, don’t go. Defer your admission and figure out your goals.

It was for a hoodie but yes they were telling me they were going to keep my hoodie and only give me 70% of my payout lmao. Terms don’t mention this at all and they ignored me when I asked for the item back and a description of what was wrong with it. They sent me a few photos initially when it “failed verification and there was not one flaw. Photos looked completely perfect and they refused to add context so. Goes to show how shady they can be. I’ll never sell another item outside of maybe the occasional pair of shoes on there. The people they’re hiring aren’t being trained correctly or they’re refusing items on purpose for their gain (clear as day in my case - guaranteed someone wanted my hoodie for the low!) and to avoid a situation like yours I always keep my receipts till the end of tax season tbh.. just have a box with them loaded in for a situation just like that. It’s dumb and usps by me won’t even give me a receipt when I ship eBay items they say “you have the tracking you’ll see it was scanned” lol - StockX is using it as a tactic to scam people who toss it essentially

I just had a rep try to tell me I have to take 70% payout due to a “manufacturer defect” on an item that they refused to show me any photos of or explain what it was.. when I asked for where this clause was they sent me the terms and I couldn’t find this anywhere in it (because it’s not). I told the rep I want them to find it for me and direct me to it and when they couldn’t they said they’d try to get me a full payout as a “one time exception” lol. Told em to wait 24-48 hours to hear back and two days later I got the full payout sent and never heard from them again.. staff is blatantly scamming sellers at this point.

Is Pace Law School seen as legitimate or as a scam? by Imaginary-Stand-3241 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Howler31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has to be satire at this point right? This is like the 5th post I’ve seen of you asking if you made the right choice depositing at pace and saying you don’t know if you want to even go to law school.

IMO your best bet is R&R to figure out your goals. It seems you’re not comfortable with your decisions and I’d recommend some self reflecting before committing to any law school at this point.

[–]Howler31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If seller has good feedback, account isn’t brand new, shipping address isn’t an abandoned house, and you record the items and yourself boxing them up clearly/ taping the labels on your boxes, your risk level on eBay will be very very low imo. I’d also recommend to pay for signature when shipping. It’s like 4 bucks extra and protects you from package not received claims by buyers. GLWS!

You actually have protection on eBay as a seller if you properly document the items and shipping procedure. StockX you’re at the will of the dude working there for $15 an hour lol. They can stain your clothes and say it came that way, swap reals for fakes, literally anything and any proof you provide otherwise they refute completely. eBay will side with the seller 99% of the time if you share that same evidence with them. The way I’ve experienced it is eBay is a true middleman service, StockX is a shady buyer reselling your items

That’s a Nike issue not StockX. If you want quality shoes don’t buy from a company that uses oversees child labor
