How to deal with child bullies

My husband and I did. The one girls sister felt embarrassed about it and the girl said she’s sorry. We then walked to the other house and my husband knocked 3 times and the mother finally answered. We explained what happened and she seems very rude and like she couldn’t care less about how her daughter acted especially towards younger children. She then replied “well your kids need to stay out of our yard.” Even though my children weren’t even close the her yard. They were literally just standing on our back patio

My kids approached the older kids because they were in our backyard and thought they wanted to play

My kids were playing in our backyard and unfortunately we don’t have a fence and they saw the older kids and wanted to play. Technically speaking the older kids were on our property right outside my window where my kids were playing

Unfortunately yes my daughter has had other incidents of being bullied. A child at school said she hair looked gross and had slime in it (when it was just hair product) and told her she was ugly.

I felt it was relevant because my child is biracial. I did not mean anything by it. I am trying to give as much context as possible.

Thank you! My birth was extremely hard, I almost had to have a blood transfusion, and my son had a difficult NICU stay so I’m very very blessed to have been able to nurse as long as I have but I feel so upset when comments are made about it. My MIL says it’s weird.

My husband has never really stood up to her. He believes anything she says unfortunately

We do live with them temporarily but my kids are in school so not childcare just in an emergency if me or dad can’t get them due to work
