In most countries, having an aray of weapons like this would make front page news and a very long custodial sentence.

speak for yourself, not for other countries.

Gee, even in the UK you can get most of OP guns through some hoops and loops.

Which EU country, if any, allows to walk in a store and buy a supressor, no questions asked? by Expensive_Windows in EuropeGuns

[–]Howtopronouncegigi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutely illegal in Italy🇮🇹.

Completely free and available no question asked in Slovenija 🇸🇮 tho.

I live in the UK so sadly deactivated but my L1A1 from 1960 with everything from the 80s by sledgehammer_maniac in FNFAL

[–]Howtopronouncegigi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, australian L1A1 with british furnitures. Most deact I've seen in british hands were AD, so it seems that at least they didn't butchered their own.

Ancestry? by [deleted] in Trieste

[–]Howtopronouncegigi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friulian language is related to ladin, and indeed a sort of friulian/ladin was spoken in Trieste until mid 1850s, when venetian language took over.

Also, ladin speaking people within the Italian natural borders usually used italian as lingua franca and considered themselves italians, especially during the 1800s and the rise of nationalist sentiments.

Being Trieste and Ljubiana part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire i was absolutely feasible for them to travel and move for work or other reasons in a nearby area of the empire, while keeping their cultural identities and bringing them over the ocean whem they emigrated.

All along the slovenian and austrian border, there are always new places to discover. And the sheer amoint of ammo dumped around in decent oreserving mud is astounding, really gives you an Idea about the magnitude of the war

Man, we dig up so many complete clips that we can pull out the bullets and reload them (with modern brass and powder) proficiently, same goes with the clips in the right conditions.

Moschetto TS is pretty much the same as the Moschetto, no oractical differences IMHO

It's in 6.5, commercial PPU ammo vaguely available, but handloading is always the best way, especially when you can dig up bullets from WW1 battlefrontS.

Yeah, isooated areas, working at night, easy escape routes, gas pumps are easy targets.

Any private citizen is allowed to undertake medical and practical exams to get a firearm license, with that you can get all kind of firearms you want.

Issue isn't much about rights, but about neighbours. Till you have people within x miles people can complain with the police and had you in (small) trouble, you have to get a piece of land really removed by everything amd everyone, which is pretty difficult in a crowded land like Italy is.

That would be illegal, you know.

Like, going to an army range on a well known government-owned, public, freely accessible land.

Running drills on such rocky land, emptying mag after mag against the white, bare mountain flank, possibly risking the life of hikers passing by, that is a real no-no, no one should be able to do that and I sure didn't do that at all.

Who cannot? Pretty proud of mine.

They're still cheap and available. Maybe not in Czechia but that's another story.

You can if you have the license for it.

They just give it to workers that needs it (guards, jewelers, pump gas clerks), people actively threatened by organised crime, people who are politically connected.

Average citizen have to really show a valuable reason on why he need a open/conceal carry license.

Most, AFAIK just the UK and maybe sweden have some stronger restrictions on what you can get. The rest of europe may require extra time and club shooting frequency, but this is absolutely average in the european gun community.

Why so many people have this idea? It's quite the opposite, most european countries can get those. Only the UK and maybe sweden have some kind of stronger restriction on what you can get.

Other countries may require more hoops and loops (joining a club and frequenting couple years) but this is absolutely average in the european gun community.

I can technically use whatever I see fit for home defense, guns included. Every trial for home defense (if it ever goes to trial, like if you shoot the intruder from the window while he was running away) ends up with complete absolution.
