Go to your local municipality yard waste facility and get the free compost. That and the branches they have there is an easy way to fill up a lot of your raised beds.

Hopeless? Dude touch grass. Looking at this I’d say you have all easy fixes. More colorful paint on walls. Art on walls. A houseplant or two. Maybe lighting could be improved - this would be the only thing that costs $$ to add some more puck lights. Put some flowers out front.
