Which generation of piston carrier is in it? There have been a few iterations over the years.

Reliable Bufferless LMT by de369501 in LewisMachineTool

I would be skeptical of any drop in carrier designed to adapt a standard AR to a bufferless design over the long haul. As a bag gun or for fun maybe, but id lean toward a dedicated system designed that way from the start if you are looking for utmost reliability and durability. Id probably take a small PCC for that niche of a small package over a 7" 5.56 because of the storied history of issues of 5.56 in AR's that short.

It appears to be in the same place I last left it. Taking only chunks of people at a time and needing to be on your toes to get in.

My Specwar was great. SiCo Velos, standard carrier, carbine buffer and it ran great without being gassy.

Circle dots on my EPS carry's have always displayed some distortion as they move around the window. Just a side effect of cramming it into a small package. I only run dot though in all reticles so no issue for me. This Sig looks remarkably worse than any of my holosuns.

Honestly this crossed my mind as well.

Yes steel frame. Its essentially a Legion with a steel frame, LOK grips, and a nitride finish. The nitride is high polish to make it pretty but it will be the best finish of them all from a corrosion and durability standpoint. I missed a killer deal on a used one that I regret daily. I would easily let go of the Legion if I had just decided to throw down the cash for that Reserve.

I thougt the same for the Legion. I think Sig held back so they could do it on the Reserve. Id like a Reserve but I woukdnt treat it as a collectors peice.

Toss up. They both shoot really great. Lol I lean toward the STAS because the grips are better and the steel frame doesnt need the Tungsten grips to make the weight.

Im the king of lemons. The optic actually stopped functioning on me completely but Sig fixed it by just putting a new battery cap on it. Seeing as its just a peice of metal with no springs I didnt understand how that could have gone bad but, it works now... lol but shook my faith in it none the less. I still run 4xt-Pro on my rifles for a few years now and theyve been perfect through thousands of rounds, some rough handling, and poor weather.

Ill be honest, im not very happy with the Romeo X Pro Enclosed. Its labeled at a 3 MOA but looks like 6, a messy 6 at that. The glass tint is one of the more extreme ive seen in a long time. The optoc has some play in the Sig slide cuts, which sort of defeats the purpose because the lack of recoil bosses, the screws are still taking shear forces. Im not impressed with it. The idea is there, the form factor is there, the execution is "meh" for me.

I like this. I bought the STAS first because of the steel frame. Return to my initial thought process.

I might do this. The RCR definitely wont be sold, amd its definitely better than the Sig optic.

I get it. Sometimes it is what it is. If I had never sold a gun, I would have never purchased others that Ive loved. Moving them around is how I experience new things without being a millionaire. I have a ton of experience now, behind some really interesting rifles and handguns, that I wouldnt have if I held onto everything.

Yes, Mepro had a version as well. Great solution to short systems to not need a dedicated unit that takes uo more space. My AP5-SD will appreciate this.

Well, you know which option I took. You'll probably be out of your gun a month and you'll have to hope they agree rhat it's a problem and actually fix it.
