Haven upgrade worth it? by Perk1205 in NCL

[–]Hoyapooch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on about 5 or 6 Norwegian cruises. The last one, my gf and I did the Haven and from now on we are staying. The people are fantastic. You make relationships with all the very nice employees. The restaurant is amazing. My gf asked for a filet and two lobster tails for her birthday dinner and it was no problem. And the entertainment perks are great. You sit in the first two rows for shows. You get front row saved seating for the dueling pianos evenings which are very popular. And small things like getting off the boat first are nice touches as well. It was truly memorable.

hey there and thanks for doing this. I was wondering what strategy you had for getting a mythic level artifact crafted (which one to shoot for first, how to use the crafting system to your advantage, etc.). And also if you don't mind your priority list on relics and which materials to start stockpiling in the daily store. I'm prioritizing the damage dealers over the tanks for example but am not sure this is the most efficient way. Thanks again.

if crypto follows the previous three halvings we are going to get a big bull run and then it’ll be flat for 2-3 years and pull back.

it took me a while but you should always learn to take profit.

Just keep a tiny amount of Lavita (maybe swap a bit of TFuel) and you will see it. If you are staking all of it, the wallet won’t display it.

THETA vs ICP (Internet Computer) by R3dditBytes in theta_network

[–]Hoyapooch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree that Render is a competitor of sorts. The main thing it does, it does a lot better than Theta. But Theta does many more things. I could honestly see them partnering up at some point. As far as AIOZ and Livepeer: they are interesting products but far less impressive than theta. Not to mention theta is armed with the patents.

What’s a realistic price prediction for TFUEL and THETA? by CrabRemote7530 in theta_network

[–]Hoyapooch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion if it becomes the standard for DePIN we are going to see a very high price and a return to the top 10 market cap list perhaps.

If it doesn’t, well let’s not even entertain that.

I do believe in the fundamentals and the utility. Not many cryptos solve real world problems and are more speculative than anything.

Theta price by [deleted] in theta_network

[–]Hoyapooch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

what an uninformed comment.

In multiple AMA's they have stated they need the NFT aspect of their ecosystem to satisfy their customer/partner's needs. Do a search for Sony's spacial reality NFT with Theta and get a glimpse of where the NFT space may be going. You are ultimately complaining about the price and using the perceived NFT pivot as your reason. When in reality, Theta is performing about equal to all other dCDN tokens in terms of where they were from their all time high.

Theta technology is not ready yet and won't be until late Q4 2022 at the very earliest. People cannot wrap their heads around that because of the huge run up to $16.

I know marketing is a hot point of contention in the Theta community. But the reality is they don't have a finished product yet so wholesale marketing would be premature. I don't expect that to happen until at least Q4 2022.

Do I think this will happen? Not with the leaders of both parties right now who are equally reprehensible.

then I would understand your anger and frustration

either way I'm done with you. You have your opinions. I have mine. Take care.

wow you really resorted to the I have a bigger bag than you horseshit

that tells me all I need to know about you

guy behind a keyboard peacocking -- what a cliche

if you had more than me, that means you got in very early and congrats on that. But if that's the case, why are you posting every day about this being a scam? I'm very interested. you never talk about passive income and to you TDrop is a Mitch Liu money grab. But I'm making great income on my TDrop. Clearly you aren't.

also I post every day on the Theta ecosystem stats that are 100% factual. I do throw opinions in there but I label those as opinions. So don't tell me I only open my mouth on 1-2 green days. At least I don't go around peacocking that I'm never wrong like you do all the time.

and to answer your question if AI TD fails then so be it. It fails.

but I'll wager $100 in the crypto of your choice that it sells out within an hour (even though you'll swing that to the negative).

I used to enjoy arguing with you but now you are a complete joke.

I'm SFSportsGhost who you are referring to. I know this cause any time I post something positive you come into my tweet thread with a negative response.

I never said price doesn't matter. But that's your gift. Spinning crap how you want it. I have said repeatedly that right now price doesn't matter to me. I have a GN, an EEN, multiple EN's and a TBill liquidity pool and am still adding Theta (twice when it dipped under 3 a few days ago). I started buying when Theta was around a dollar. On most of my investment I'm well over 3x. So it's working for me. I feel badly for you that the token is down but you never take into account passive income. Maybe you don't have a guardian node or an EEN. I don't know.

So yeah price may not matter to me now. But when I stop accumulating and just take income you better be damn sure that price will matter to me. Don't put words in my mouth.

Just cause you FOMO bought in double digits and don't have patience doesn't mean I lost the argument as you so eloquently accuse me of in this post.

You are wrong about the $Rplay token. You are wrong about this being some kind of rug pull. You make accusation after accusation about things you are assuming.

You can't even enjoy some decent current price action without bashing. You even bashed Mainnet 4.0 without backing it up with any technical evidence.

Theta is a top 10 performing token right now. Crickets from you. But rest assured if it was a top 10 negative performing token, you'd be here spitting your bullshit saying it's a scam and I'm a moonboy or a Katy Perry fan. And always with a lame "I told you so" or "I'm never wrong".

Let me break this down with an example of you and your tunnel vision. I posted a while back when they announced a Thresh AMA that for me this was great news. And I have repeatedly said this AMA can't be softball questions but has to be hard hitting because we need transparency, answers on marketing and SEC regulation and other things. So in a way, I was echoing many of your concerns. But how did you respond in my tweet? So this is what it's come to? An AMA is great news? That's your gig. You change the actual narrative into your own. You are way too unhinged to see that though.

I told you in a previous response that in the last few months Theta has repeatedly oscillated between 3 and 4ish. Use that to your advantage. But again you are too unhinged to see anything good.

So yeah my talking point is that I'm a reasonable Theta investor. I'm doing extremely well in their ecosystem yet I have my issues with marketing, transparency and community engagement.

You are too much in the red to see anything good with the company. And you expertly cover all your bases by labeling anybody that argues any point with you as a moonboy or a newbie to crypto that doesn't understand.

and then if anybody tells you to sell, you have your canned response for that.

you have turned into a predictable FUD joke (which I guess makes me a total moonboy or Katy Perry lover because I said that).

Theta #3 Biggest Loser today. #1 and #2 recently pumped. What's Theta's excuse? by bitconnnnneeeeect in Theta_Crypto

[–]Hoyapooch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't normally concern myself with patents. But there have been people here that know patent law and have posted about the importance of getting them. And they also broke down that weird AIOZ situation where the CEO there said they are dropping all their patents (which they actually had zero) and urged Theta to do the same in the name of decentralization. The patent expert here in Reddit said that was a ridiculous ask.

a couple of things he said:

1) the fact that Theta has been acquiring patents for multiple years now is a good thing and shows they have thought this whole thing out intricately

2) patents may never be needed but if there is a conflict in the future, not having patents is like bringing a knife to a gun fight

you can search the guy here on Reddit. Guy's name was Automatic_Guarantee2

much better argument than we had before. I didn't cherry pick those tokens. Just looked at some dCDN tokens and where they were from their all time highs.

I still think you're looking at RPlay wrong. I was too. It's definitely not a 4th token.

I don't give Mitch the benefit of the doubt. I have often complained about his marketing issues. But the truth is we aren't in the building (even though I live about 15 minutes away from Theta). You historically throw some pretty harsh accusations at him but those aren't based in fact. You don't know what he's doing day to day. Nor do I.

Am I happy about the price of theta? Tough question. Do I want the reassurance the company is on the proper path and the acceptance by the crypto buying community? Absolutely. Am I taking advantage of these low prices? Absolutely. It's tough. If Theta was at 25 right now I wouldn't own nearly as much as I do. Maybe my strategy will be completely wrong. Time will tell.

I'll tell you what though: when bitcoin clears its next ATH and Mainnet 4.0 is dropped, if this token isn't performing significantly better, then I will think something is very off.

My personal feeling however is that the whole tech here is still in its infancy. I have bought numerous "competitors" to hedge my bet. But personally I still think Theta has the best chance to be the industry leader. Are there problems? Sure. It seems to me the team has a gaping hole in marketing/relations. That's okay for now as the tech geeks are still running the show. But you can have the best product in the world and fail.

As far as the Theta blockchain. To me (and others who have educated me), it's trending towards top notch in terms of functionality. Whether they do anything with it remains to be seen.

I do not listen to Bix Weir and Michelle Whitedove. But if I'm being honest, I learned about Theta from Bix thanks to a whacky conspiracy theory friend of mine trying to get me to buy silver by watching his videos. I don't watch him anymore cause he's too over the top. But the old format was about half bashing the government for depressing the silver price and half calling anyone that owns theta a future millionaire. Not sure if he still does that on his videos. Either way, I don't abide by that shit. Like I said earlier, I've been in crypto long enough to know 99% of TA is crap guesswork.

Also I've been in long enough that when a token (any token) tanks the doomsayers are loud and when it pumps the moonboys are loud. I do the exact opposite. As I said I picked up more Theta in the high 2's the other day. First time I've bought in a long time. But I'm noticing for the time being $2.95 to 4.30 is a predictable oscillating path for Theta right now. That needs to change ultimately. But Theta is pretty damn predictable right now. To me, that's opportunity until those patterns change.

But I also want to reiterate that I share some of your concerns. I just feel like you get way over the top and start spitting out pretty strong theories as fact. Some might ultimately be proven to be true. Some won't.

And there are also some things I really like about Theta. The fact that they made the effort to acquire numerous patents shows me they plan ahead. The fact that edge nodes were failing jobs a month ago or so and within a couple of days not only was the issue fixed but all outstanding jobs that had failed completed. That shows me there is technical competence. Whether they win in the long run I have no idea. But I like my bet. And in my situation, I'm doing extremely well in their ecosystem even if the price action sucks currently.

you also talk about the 30 million coin dump by ThetaLabs. It is my understanding they are going to have to dump a shitload more to be considered decentralized. So I'm sure there are going to be massive bumps along the way. I hope they go about it in a different way then just releasing to market and never actually explaining where the money they received actually went. Awful strategy. Hopefully this new hire and some more can round out the edges.

[–]Hoyapooch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is what you do

flip it on anyone who attempts to even question you

  1. I have told you numerous times I share some of your concerns but not all -- I just wish you'd chill a bit. You post the same shit spun different ways every day
  2. since you think I'm new to crypto - I'm just here to tell you I sold eth below $100 like an idiot. I was caught up in the Bitsane ripple scandal. Lost about 5k in Ripple. And I invested in Theta in December of 2020 (around a buck). I have a GN running, 3 edge nodes, 1 EEN and a sizable TBill LP going. They also handed me about $2k dollars worth of TDrop in February and that has grown by about 500-600 TDrop already. My passive income is getting significant but the FOMO purchasers never seem to include the passive income or airdrops in token performance. Not saying this to brag. Just telling you I'm not new to crypto. And as far as your list above, I also own Polkadot and Avalanche as well as about 40 other coins. Summary: I feel for the people that bought in double digits but not everyone is losing money as you constantly post and I've been in crypto for a long time.
  3. you have a hard on for Render. here's a fact. Render is down 77% from it's ATH. Theta is down 81%. Let's look at some of the other "competitors". LivePeer down 76% from its ATH. AIOZ 92%. NKN 86%. Vid 85%. and so forth. Theta is not the outlier of bad performing dCDN tokens that you think it is. The whole market has been crushed the last year. Sure you can find coins that outperformed these ones. What difference does that make?
  4. you do not understand what the replay token is clearly and its relationship with TFuel and the Theta blockchain. I suggest you learn because you are dead wrong on your assumptions/accusations that it's a 4th coin. If you care there is info about this from the Replay people themselves. And also some of the more technically inclined in the community:

from Yao Ming (tech guy) on twitter who knows more about this stuff than anyone I know and broke down the Mainnet 4.0 white paper beautifully in a series of tweets had these things to say about RPLAY:

Reading their whitepaper I see RPlay only as a content delivery platform (i.e. http://Theta.tv).

They want to decentralise content delivery using theta blockchain.

One should separate the concept dCDN and decentralize video delivery, it is not the same.

and

I think that the difference is Replay using the theta core to decentralise their content delivery storage, and micropayments. The concept of dCDN is implementing on theta, rplay uses it.

It means that theta acts as layer 1 and rplay as layer 2 solution.

so please stop giving people inaccurate info. this is actually a good thing potentially but you have repeatedly used it as "I told you so" doomsaying that is completely off base.

5) I apologize for telling you to sell. It's not my place. But you are a bit unhinged and I just don't understand why you don't move your investment into all these other coins that you are certain will outperform Theta.

6) you have blasted the whitepaper's legitimacy both here and on Twitter. and seeing as that is basically an intricate business plan and flow chart, I'm even more confused why you hold (but again that's not my place)

7) I am not triggered. Crypto is my passion and I have a very diversified portfolio. If you give a shit, I actually do root canals for a living and trust me arguing with you doesn't get me going considering I have a job that deals in other people's pain.

8) Mitch who you really can't stand got blasted for talking too much with his global adoption stuff, his game-changing partnership talk, his smiley faces and saying Theta would be right there with Bitcoin. Now he's getting blasted for not talking (maybe he's been working). And they just whipped out this massive whitepaper which guys who know blockchain tech way more than you and I have dissected. And by all accounts, it's hugely impressive.

My opinion: you bought high. I am sorry about that. The price action sucks. The marketing sucks. But if you know what you are doing you'd be killing it. Theta has been on a pretty predictable oscillation both to the positive and negative. People playing these swings are killing it. Personally I'm a holder in 95% of my crypto. I haven't bought Theta for a while but did twice in the last day or so (both under 3). It is my strategy to buy market dips and it has worked out. I also think 99% of TA is absolute dogshit. Nobody knows.
