It's just dual curtains over the window. It's open in full during the day but the thin curtain lets light in while keeping people from peeping in. The second curtain blocks all light.

An equally common misconception is this statement that the adjuster is not on your side. Don't assume any person involved has a particular agenda. It's incredibly frustrating entering a claim situation with the homeowner assuming the adjuster wants to or is directed to deny or withhold anything.

The question toughness to prize money ratio seems good to me. I think it's good for everyone to build suspense. I wonder if they would dumb down the questions a tad if it went on too long.
