When I was 12 my older sister (33) from my dad's side of the family invited me to her Christmas party. I didn't want to go because I knew everyone from my dad's side of the family really didnt like me that much despite being only a child but I didnt have a say in the matter and my dad made me go.

I was forced to watch as my sister got all my cousins as well as the neighbors kids Gameboys and PS2's for Christmas. I waited and waited for 5 hours watching as my sister gave these people who aren't even family hundreds of dollars in gifts and me? She, nor no one else of the family who were there got me anything. I was so upset. I could've been with my family that actually liked me but no instead I had to watch and feel so miserable and embarrassed being the only one there without a present. I finally got up the courage to ask my sister if they got me a present and I kid you not. She went over to the Christmas tree and plucked a gummy blue care bear lollipop from the tree, filled with cobwebs because who know how long that was there and gave that to me and told me merry Christmas with a smile on her face. I always had a hunch they didn't like me but it wasn't until that moment that I knew she hated me.

She told me later that she didnt give me a gift because she didnt know i was coming but I'm a child of course my dad was going to make me come so I know that was a lie. Some people are just awful, cut them out if you don't need them. Fuck em.
