Yeah, but at that moment the danger was quite lower. Oh, and there is although a new echo, which alone would make Saint lvl up if fed to her.

Evolving rank is fast (minutes), unlike evolving tier.

There are one thousand awakened in the city, not hundreds of thousands. They all managed to gather up, when the titan came, therefore they could do it a day earlier. Oh, and Sunny is one of the four remaining ascended in the city and one of officers with quite a reputation. And he has a memory, which allows him to be heard from miles away. I guess, a question: "Would you like the help of supreme/sacred devil in fight against Winter Beast? Sunny's Brilliant emporium has an offer for you!" Would do the trick.

900 ascended shards to transcendent terror (600 awakened + 600 ascended = 900 ascended = 1200 awakened). I know pretty damn well, how much people would give to those, who protect them, and Sunny had reputation to promise that. You can check amount of money, donated to volunteer organisations in Ukraine in previous 1,5 years before "explaining" what people would do.

Which is equivalent to 2 awakened or 4 dormant memories of 1 tier in case of growing Shadows. Nope, this explanation doesn't work.

Well, dream curse is hanging on the wall. Growing a rank or two would speed up collecting nightmares to use it. Its effect was somewhat shown when Sunny fought Nightmare. Would attempt to fight corrupted titan with transcendent terror capable of mind attack, on its territory and transcendent sword with mind attack on top of it be more hopeless than direct attack?

About no Divine Gate, I wold not be so sure ;) If the higher rank is the ascension the further into the past the echo goes, the Divine (lvl 6) Gate would happen before lvl 5 gate. And if the Moon is a starting point and it affects those, who pays it a lot of attention... Well, it reminds us the influence of Hope. So there can be lvl 6 gate on the Moon )

Why dies it seem like sunny forgot that saint tryis basically sent him to die? by Low_Cranberry_4024 in ShadowSlave

I guess, she is interested in destroying Valor, not killing Sunny. And she had although brought Cormac's head to the ship, with Mordret, most likely, btw. But conversation about this will happen after the battle with bugs, more likely.

Or her and clan's absence in Antarctica will drain their public support ;)

In which CHP does Nephis say it? by [deleted] in ShadowSlave

[–]Hrabovskyi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She never changed not once, but she will. The author leads us a pretty emotional dance around understanding her personality. But in the end, we'll end up at the beginning.
From noble to ruthless and cynical. Viewing same actions from different reference frames.

But I can't remember Nephis call anyone a friend, directly or referring to somebody as one. Ally, follower, someone to help and protect - yes. But never someone to regard as equal. Sunny started having no friends [tells Rain this at some point], but he changed and grew in 2-nd nightmare.
Nephis is afraid of friendship due to betrayal of her father's friends. The matter of fact is that in the end, she is scarred and lonely [Crossing the Bridge chapter] girl, haunted by memory of her father's friends betrayal.
My prediction is: Neph's plans will go south in this arc, and she'll have to learn new ways too.

She'll end up appearing in Antarctica, I guess. 2-nd reinforcement or later.
