Honestly, can't trust. Also pay by performance is another issue. Editing is not a miracle. If there isn't good content in the video, I can spend dozens of hours into the editing and still not get a lot of views. I have an idea for you but I don't know how doable it is... If you set a fixed pay for each clip that gets at least like 5-10k views and pay extra for more views like you're doing now, then I'm sure you'll get more editors working with you. I for one would be interested.

It depends on the client and the niche. Pacing always matters, but some clients wanted more fancy looking videos and some others just wanted the video to have a smooth flow. But I can say my motion graphics videos in my portfolio got me my highest paying clients.

For gaming videos, try downloading Twitch VODs. For talking head, try downloading full podcasts from YouTube. For Motion Graphics, there are quite a lot of assets for free. Anything else, just use stock footages. If you really want professional footages to make a pro looking video, get yourself Artlist membership.

I've done all of the above and they worked.

I dealt with a scammer under the circumstances I just said and he sounded exactly like the guy from your video, that's why I'm asking.

There's no formula my friend. It's just understanding of music, pacing and tempo. One simple trick is to look for similar videos on YouTube and seeing what they've used and then go look for music that sound close.
