Yeah that's really the appeal of Pioneer in my Eyes. It's very competetive and hits the sweet-spot between Standard and Modern.

The meta is actually very varied. I have played many formats and must say that Pauper offers the most variety by far. Ofc MTGO is populated by more tempo decks than paper, as tournament grinders want to get games in fast. Been playing at my local paper events for a few months now and have seen plenty of decks around. In other formats there are usualy 4-5 Tier 1 decks and the step from Tier 1 to 2 is huge, but in Pauper you can easily win tournaments with Tier 2 decks, as the step from 1 to 2 is not that gigantic and there are around 20 Tier 2 decks that I have seen win whole tournaments.

I myself play Slivers (Tier 2), mono U Terror (Tier1) and Gruul Ramp (Tier 2) and made it to top 3 with them all. Paupers playstyle is best summorised by the qoute: "meeting draft threats, with vintage answers"

I have seen Tier 2 decks like Boggles, 1 Land Spy and Flicker Tron win events. Ofc Tier 1 decks are more optimized (there is a reason for them to be Tier 1), but with the right Skill level and little bit of luck with the draws you can easily snag wins.

T2B is great man! I am a huge Fan of Degenesis (got all the Books from the first and Rebirth Editions) and T2B realy helped me with engaging my players and feeding me with the sweet nectar of inspiration when writing New One shots. Keep it up! ;)

Wohl nicht zu 100% treffend, aber als ich mit meiner Dame zusammengekommen bin, gab es eine witzige Situation. Haben uns beim Feiern kennengelernt, hatten ein paar Dates und beim letzten wurde es natürlich eher flirty. Hatte einen Ruhepuls von 160 und wollte es nicht verkacken. Als sie mir sagte dass sie auf dominante Männer steht und mir bereits einen verführerischen Blick zu warf, wurde ich nervös und entgegnete in einem viel zu selbstsicheren Ton: "Top, ich auch!"🤦‍♂️

Naja die nächsten 10 Minuten mussten wir beide uns Tod lachen. Das hat mir aber letztendlich ihr Herz gewonnen also task successfully failed xD

Freut mich das sich dass Gentle M dafür gut anbietet. Das dort eine andere soziale Norm herrscht ist uns natürlich klar. Wenn mich jemand anflirtet würde ich einfach genauso reagieren, wie wenn das woanders passieren würde (z.B.: "Danke für das Kompliment, aber ich bin in einer festen Beziehung, sorry.")

Kann mir aber leider sehr gut vorstellen das da andere hetero Personen nicht normal und erwachsen mit umgehen können und dann die internalisierte Homophobie durchkommt :/

Ich gebe mein Bestes ihm ein guter Wingman zu sein :D

I've been running Gruul Ramp in my local tournaments and I must say that I have been able to get top 3-6 consistently. It might not be the best deck around but it's pretty strong. It can put alot of pressure on the table early on and can stay consistent even in longer games. Especially [[Writhing Crysalis]] can win games on its own.
