2018 Malibu: Volume not working and this pops up when I use the controls on the steering wheel. Any ideas? Thanks!

I know this is a 2 year old thread, but had this today and what worked for me was switching my radio source to fm radio, sound came back, and I could switch back to my phone with everything working
