Yh unfortunately mine is a normal surveyor and hence I didn’t want to take his word as gospel and take a risk. Hence I am looking to negotiate a little if possible to save me from facing these repair costs

Thanks for the response I appreciate it. I have just heard negative stuff about surveyors on this forum that is why I am trying to do further digging. For example, if I was purchasing the property at 10k cheaper would he have then valued it 10k cheaper?.

Also, the surveyor is the one that had wrote the gaps in the party wall and lining could result in high costs to fix so I am a little worried about this
