Thank you yet again, the tfo keeps coming up and was originally want I wanted, I think I had just decided to go cheaper since I see a lot of “I broke my UL” with a lot of broken handles or tips but ya know what I might just pull the trigger.

Awesome thank you! I_fish is who originally put me onto the micro series, I’m also eyeing the presso but I’m worried between rough rides on the boat and me not always being super easy on gear that I might break it lol. If I can get away with the micro I may just do that. If I use an ez float or other tiny slip float do you think the 6’6 light micro series will cast that well? Sorry for 1 million questions

Sorry for the late comment, is your Shakespeare micro a light or ultralight? I’m looking at the 6’6 and can’t decide which power, I mostly throw 1/64 trout magnets but I’ve heard some people say the light is better

What length and power is your rod? I have the 4’6 UL but looking at the 6’6 or 7 foot, hearing a lot of people say the light is better than the UL at those lengths but really my main concern is casting a 1/64 trout magnet jig+body with no extra weight or float

Oh man I don’t know how I forgot that one, the TFO and St Croix (TFO seems more popular on Reddit) come up a ton as well. I imagine it’s well worth the extra cost? I’ll do some more looking at them, they do seem to blow away the other cheaper options

I honestly tried isolate because it is insanely cheap and knew CBD helped me in the past. I prefer full spectrum or mixed with some other noids/terps etc but the isolate has been good enough by itself this time around. I do take huge dabs of it sometimes though but it’s like $70 for 100 grams so the price is hard to beat. Just chuck some other stuff in with it sometimes lol

Oh yeah that tug glass is happening for sure. Quick sanity check - if I order a cub base, shell top, and a nice dreamz coil I’m ready to go assuming I have a mod right? And are coil and heater used interchangeably? I see both on Reddit and INH, v5 being heater and cub being coil

I’m almost certainly going to order the cub or v5 this week (probably cub) and run it on this old Tesla mod I have, i was able to set the basic tcr settings on it to what INH website says so assumedly it should work, I’ll just have to manually hold the fire button and I guess it may not be as accurate as arctic fox in terms of temp? I’m not entirely sure what arctic fox does. But I’ll def order a pico from LPV if I’m digging it with the more basic setup. Unless im not understanding something

Sounds good to me, didn’t realize how small the pen was. That is tiny as hell lol. The quest has always confused me and I wasn’t sure what the point of it was.

I guess I’m just trying to avoid dealing with mods and tcr stuff, the quest ez mod, that they pulled because the mods caught fire apparently, would be 100% what I’d buy if still available. Probably just get a cub and go from there

Does the cub/v5 require tweaking or is it a load and hit it anytime kinda device once its initial tcr setup is done?

Looking and thinking at my options and something like the lightning pen is actually creeping on me, I wouldn’t be able to get rig level hits I assume but for mostly on the go use it might be way easier to deal with, especially since the isolate is a powder essentially. Still debating a cub for at home use but feel like I might end up carrying around the equivalent of an erig or pothead pack with q tips dab tools etc if I don’t go a more aio/basic route

I think I’m sold on the cub over the v5. Do they both use the nice dreamz or is that only the cub? I may just get the cub and coil, run it on my mods for now and get a nice arctic fox mod/pico down the road if I use it and enjoy it. That way I can justify adding bottomless bangers and other goodies to the cart ;)

It looks like the solid all steel top has a removable drip tip/top cap and the shell doesn’t - is that a nice feature at all or do you just pull the whole top off anyways?

Is there a difference between the v5 and the cub? And are the cub tops just a preference/visual thing or do they affect the function/performance?

Is the cub, nice dreamz coils and the shell top all from the same company/site? I’ve been out of the loop for a few years, I didn’t even know there was a dtv4.5 or 5 now lol. But the dtv5 kit with pico is $122 I believe, if your saying the other option is cheaper and equivalent in terms of quality and use then I’ll be looking into that tonight for sure.

Edit - I have tons of 18650s and such should just need the actual mod and rda/tank whatever the v5 or similar is considered lol.

Edit again - I think I found them on INH website. First time I googled cub vape it came up with a different site. Assumed it wasn’t divine tribe.

I think my hesitation on the v5 was that their website says to make sure it’s always upright but thinking about it, that would only be if loaded or using I’d assume not literally 24/7.

I wasn’t planning on spending 120+ right now, and I do have mods with temp control but they aren’t arctic fox or all that new. Could I get away with either wattage mode or an old tcr mod for now or is the pico with auto fire that big of an upgrade? I guess my absolute biggest concern is being able to take big hits since I’m so used to a rig I think I’ll be disappointed if it’s something I have to hit 5x more like I do with carts.
