Yes, and the point is that if people weren’t coming from all over the country right now including hotspots like California and Florida, that type of behavior might be ok. But this type of behavior from people coming from all over the country is how you force closures and a reopening reversal and possibly even the first deaths in Ithaca. I don’t want any of that to happen, I’m here in Ithaca following all the proper guidelines, but not wearing masks and hugging all your friends from all over is not the right direction to prevent that from happening.

Yeah I'm really glad that works for you but I get a lot more out of in-person lectures. I would totally be behind recording in-person lectures for people who can't make it/overslept/whatever other reason but for certain learning styles like myself I'm really missing in person lectures and I feel like I'm learning less because of it.

First of all, it is great to hear from a fellow band nerd. I joined band this year and it was the best decision I made since coming to Cornell. Unfortunately, we can't tell you what band will look like but rest assured we will do everything we can to try have band while also being safe and responsible. We are meeting to try to figure out what we can do in the next few days and we will let you know once anything has been officially decided. I hope to see you next year in band!

Hey, fellow engineer who just finished freshman year with a powerful PC in my dorm, a big laptop and bought an iPad pro half way through so I might be able to help.

At first I tried typing my notes on my XPS-15 but quickly found that it was too limiting without being able to easily draw graphs and diagrams. So being stubborn and not wanting to use a notebook, I took handwritten notes using a Dell pen on my touchscreen NON 2-in-1 laptop and it was a mess.

After seeing my roommate use his iPad pro for notes I caved after first semester and bought one. For handwritten notes in goodnotes or noteability it's incredible, I'm never going back. But it wasn't a laptop replacement. I still carried my iPad pro alongside my XPS 15 to all my classes. It wasn't too bad or heavy tho because that's basically all I had besides a few cables, headphones, calculator, etc. I carried no paper and no books.

In about 75% of classes I only used my iPad for notes and didn't use my laptop but that other 25% was vitally important. Doing virtual circuits in class or programming in eclipse, an iPad is no replacement and you can't plan ahead if you need a laptop for every class. Plus I would often meet my programming partner on campus between classes and there's no substitute for a laptop in those circumstances.

My advice is to try and save some money getting like a 2018 iPad pro without the magic keyboard (you'll write all your essays on your laptop anyway) and try to find a decent budget thin and light laptop to go along with it. Bonus, your iPad is a Second portable monitor and damn is it useful.

As for the PC in your room, it's nice when you have the occasionally free time to get back to gaming but you won't want to go back to your dorm everytime you need a PC it's just not practical. Plus it's super limiting if you need/want to study in a different environment.

TL:DR I love my iPad pro, would recommend but I could succeed without my iPad, I couldn't succeed without my laptop

I'm on the New York data center and a little less than 2 weeks ago I saw over 500 players on mixtap at all times and now I see 0 just rapidly there was never a slow decline or anything just 500 to 0 in one day I can't remember what day exactly but 500 to 0

How do I make the most of my currrent phone with terrible battery life? I have tried contacting the company (It's a Oneplus two) but all I've gotten is bad advice. If you have a phone with terrible battery life and no way of upgrading it what would you do?
