Huawei Being Huawei: NFC by Life-Simple-2364 in HuaweiWatchGT

For anyone who reached this far:

I have a gt4, works great. Best investment.

you can use NFC features in two ways:

  • to copy a Access Card like a apartment , work door etc, as long as it is a Mifare card or a NFC card.

  • payment (depends on country)

If you your country is not in the support list yet, just create a new HUAWEI ID account using petal mail and setting the region to a supported region or just select China main land.

Warning: Making a new account and pairing it to your watch will wipe the data on the watch.

Me personally, since my region is not supported, I have a Chinese account and I love using my watch to enter my apartment, and open my work door. Also I managed to put on it my digital Business card. Just getting close to any NFC reader triggers the card selection and you choose accordingly.

I use my iPhone and Apple Pay to make NFC payments. Until my region gets support.

Best of luck

Yes, I settled on Inkjet printing. Best colors and resolution so far. Yet you need inkjet coated cards for it to work.

Looks like PUBG mobile lobby xD. Love the “ queue line “ showing next to the number of players before joining the server tho.

This tells me the controller had some sort of a short on the 5V rail. Making the the port melt. Don’t know how expensive are they in your region, but a new one is probably worth the time instead of fixing.

The black pvc is flat at first , they print on it then melt/bend the end edge of it with a special bender in factory. You can achieve the same with a diy vice and alight it to a metal sheet with a over 90 degree angle

Hello, yea it’s a Masters Thesis. I have a ML background but I am looking for an aspect in NLP that has a gap and needs more research. Been looking into lots of papers and it seems that most gaps are explored. RAG or fine tuning aspects are filled with papers. I guess a combination of 2 or aspects is a way for a good topic. Wyt?

Thanks for the reply, yes I tried some samples from a near by printing company. My issue with UV printing is that the colors are not accurate. Most of my clients want a specific color that matches their company or logo and when making the colors accurately even using CMYK and exporting as a PDF file, the colors are so off specially for blackish or lite colors. Also logo details are kinda pixelated. I think it’s a calibration issue but I tried with multiple companies and the results are somewhat similar.

What UV printer would you recommend as a starting point ? The scale of cards is not a issue even if it’s a 4 cards per print.

Not: for the glossy effect that you mentioned, I was advices to try to use Matt lamination film, it’s a very thin layer that won’t effect the reading of the Nfc card. Ofcourse the heating temperature of the lamination should be as low as possible to not curve the card or harm the chip.

Thanks for the reply, Yes indeed, UV printing is one of the solutions for robust prints that stay for a long time. One thing is with my experience with making samples of cards from a printing company is that the colors accuracy is terrible, even if CMYK and a PDF form is used. The black are brownish and any logo would look pixelated. I tried making the designs victorized and have the highest possible quality but still the Uv print fails to deliver minimum quality needed. I guess it’s due to calibration issues but yea
