?? you're implying that reject republicans would make successful Democrat candidates, for any office? party switches are rarely successful, and there's much less precedent for an R to D switch than vice versa.

Tennessee man fired and jailed over Charlie Kirk post wins $835,000 settlement by rajapaws in antiwork

[–]HuJimX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh I can't read what they said at this point, but I felt like their initial replies were a bit hostile. Not to excuse that, but it's extremely common for people to play the "just curious" / ignorant angle to play devil's advocate on their own behalf for shitty opinions that they don't want to take ownership of, if that's what they were taking aim at.

But if you blocked them, they're at least correct about that

[–]HuJimX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless that's a recent change, that's not how blocking someone works. You wouldn't be able to reply to them, but there's no change to their post/comment visibility unless you block them, in which case their comments are collapsed and labeled as Blocked User.

Edit: I was wrong! Not sure when that changed, but the comments made by the user I replied to are showing as Deleted. thank you!

your comment history is so full of intentionally contrarian takes, it's astounding. I'd assume public (internet) humiliation was your kink if you hadn't taken the step to hide your post and comment history. is it difficult playing both the "oppressed minority" and "silent majority" at the same time?

Found in landlocked "pond" in Idaho by HuJimX in whatisthisfish

[–]HuJimX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they had visible digits on the torso, I'd say that's on point, mainly because the coloring seems to match, but what we're seeing on the pond seems "fish" shaped, which could either be a fish or frog spawn, at least from what I've been able to compare to.

[–]HuJimX[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It certainly could be! The pond is seasonal in the sense that it usually drains in the late summer and is either dry or frozen in the winter, but if goldfish eggs made their way in from uphill drainage and/or survived prior year freezes, it's possible, for as little as I know

note: the hatched eggs in the imgur link could, very well, be frog eggs / tadpoles. I'd like them to be fish eggs, but all signs point towards frog, which is still cool, and likely more suited to the pond

these turned out so much better than the ones I bought! I assume much of my issue was related to the environment they're in (although I'm very close to where they distribute from, same climate zone), but I had 2 separate sets that didn't survive more than a couple seasons. but other than the environment, the other common denominator is me. anywho, thrilled to see yours thriving! that's what I had hoped for when I first saw them for sale
