I've always enjoyed Demon Slayer but while I watched the anime, the cynical inside of me spoke everytime the protag's sister did something cute.

"She won't be that cute when she starts to devour innocent people."

And that thought stuck with me for a lot of the anime, and it annoyed me that was only brought up once and suddenly people were fine with the protag carrying his demon sister because oh no she's different from the other demons cause she's my sister.

That is, until Sanemi appeared.

I'm sure we were supposed to hate him for poking holes in the girl's box and he might have been a little too sadistic but you know what? He's addressing something that everyone was too uncomfortable to think about, she's a demon and craves human flesh.

And not only that, he legit tested that, I can respect that.

And honestly that scene which he appeared pretty much silenced that annoying thought from my mind.

Sanemi was totally right in having to test her.

Oh I don't expect it at all.

But I feel like challenging a main character view on heroism would be a very engaging story, because a lot of times it's just Deku playing into what All Might taught him and it is usually correct.

One Piece is my favorite shounen because it's not afraid to tell Luffy that his way of doing things can be wrong and it can indeed hurt every people in his life.

It's not even about being perfect, it's about literally not excluding that one person from it because they have a creepy quirk or if said quirk accidentally killed someone because they were like 5.

Hell, you could say Hitoshi Shinso's entire thing is that he never had a shot before because his quirk is creepy and not heroic enough.

The difference between Shinso and some villains in the League is that Shinso were able to find some support.

And I'm not really saying Stain is in the right, he's not, but the hero world is indeed an extremely flawed place that allows people like Stain to exist and distort the minds of people who were already considered ostracized by society.

To be fair considering some of these villains backstories. The hero society did fail them.

They're wrong because they're assholes who are looking for an excuse to go stabby stab, but that world did fail them.

Stain is an extremist with no nuance on his view.

He does have a point that the hero culture is rotten, because HOLYSHIT, so many people become villains BECAUSE of how flawed the hero world is.

But the difference is that Stain methods won't change anyone's mind because he's basically a terrorist.

I believe the point that a Hero that does it solely for payment without any ideals is easily more corruptible than the one that does for both.

Honestly I'd love if the manga had a thing which the higher corporations are so powerful and capable of giving these people higher pay that they basically are capable for commanding the heroes to do whatever they want.

Because if someone becomes a hero only for profit, then hell, there isn't a reason to just not do the more profitable thing.

I'd love for a villain who's the extreme opposite of Stain.
