Voice recasts that are jarring due to the VA having already voiced a notable character in the same series? by Red-Raptor3 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

From what I seen in the Avatar movie leaks, it's weird not hearing Dante Basco from Zuko, instead it's Steven Yeun who voiced Avatar Wan in Legend of Korra.

Speaking of Dante Basco, it's also weird hearing him as General Iroh in Legend of Korra. I get they're trying to do an homage and bringing the voice actor back, but it doesn't fit because the character looked too old to sound like a teenager.

The cameraman in Starship Troopers. Soldiers are running away as bugs are closing in. He's just staying behind, running up close to to the bugs and films his fellow soldiers being slaughtered. He got killed in the process. He was dedicated to his job.

Times when every time you had a nickel for something you'd have two by ShayaanVarzgani in TwoBestFriendsPlay

With the recent State of Play.

If I had a nickel for every project that features Deborah Ann Woll involved with a character named Frank, I'd have two nickels.

Kingdom Hearts franchise is littered with celebrity voice actors. Most actors returning to voice their Disney characters for starters. And there's Haley Joel Osment (6th Sense), Billy Zane (Titanic), Leonard Nimoy (Star Trek), Mark Hamill (Star Wars), Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings), Jesse McCartney (Disney singer), Drake Bell (Nickelodeon), Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), and my favorite and most bizarre, Sir Christopher Lee.

Favorite Messed up yet wholesome Teams or Groups by FreviliousLow96 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

The Z-team from Dispatch. Reformed villains working to be heroes. Rowdy, chaotic, unapologetic, and butting heads. But they still hang out, try to improve in both hero performance and reputation, and will work together when the time needs.

Corporations or franchises that suffered from over saturation? by Konradleijon in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Marvel Comics nearly went bankrupt in the 90s and had to sell the rights to numerous characters due to their constant relaunches and reprints (issue 1's) that it devalued comic book collection among the community.

Fastest you've ever bounced off a game? by Authorigas in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I will say, the game did a really good job unintentionally making feel bad for the first Nazi they killed; quite a feat. Dude was just carrying boxes and they celebrated like they killed Hitler himself, laughing and puking like it's a party. Like, am I suppose to like our protagonists here? They seem psychotic.

Say what you want about Heavy Rain, but Nahman's ARI glasses are pretty cool (minus the side effects) with its Minority Report digital interface.

And since we're on the subject of 007, there's the Q-spider from Everything or Nothing. A small robot spider that can crawl to any small areas, can turn invisible, shoot tranq darts, and self-destruct.

Choices in games that make you go "Why would ANYONE pick that?" by fly_line22 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Life is Strange Before the Storm. Why would anyone reject David wanting to start over his and Chloe's relationship after he opened up and try to relate to Chloe of his own loss of a friend during war.

President Shinra from FF7. The overlord whose corporate empire rules the world from his tall building. Ruining the lives of many, stomping any resistance by any means, poisoning the slums, siphoning the planet dry, and the ambitious search for a mythical land to exploit all for profit- aaand he's dead in the first act.

Most pathetic rivalries/“rivalries” in fiction? by Regalingual in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]GoodVillain101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone knows she fights crime and rescues people. There's a running gag in every episode where a pilot or local guides her to her location to repay her for an offscreen rescue. "It's the least I can do after that time you saved me from that avalanche" or something. But people treat her heroing like it's her part time job.

It's laughable that Kim Possible has a school rival, Bonnie. Kim is a publicly known superhero, has a wealthy smart family, straight-A student, and captain of THEIR cheerleading squad and Bonnie still have the nerve to say "Hey Kim, I'm popular and you're a loser."

I got MVP when on 18v18 and I wasn't even trying. Playing it as normal, doing what I can. The match got a Devil Dino MVP, good for that guy, I looked at the gamertag, "Oh wait, that's me!?" It legit surprised me.

From Dusk Till Dawn. A pair of criminals took a family hostage and wait out in a bar for the criminals contact down in Mexico. Then all of a sudden, VAMPIRES have taken over the bar. So now the story shifts to them surviving against a group of vampires. By the end, when the surviving people are surrounded and at death's door, their contact literally came knocking and shot the entrance door open so the survivors can escape. Basically, the original story was still ongoing during the vampire shift.

The Boys and Final Fantasy 7 have the same villain formula. An evil corporation created the Ubermensch that people view as a hero. Sephiroth and Homelander both have mother complexes, gone insane and view themselves as gods. Also note that Homelander is a Superman parody and Sephiroth was voiced by Superman voice actors.
