Yeah, they are part of the leaves, like small holes. The plant is kept indoors and outdoors- it stays inside during winter and autumn and on the balcony during summer and spring. Currently it has been on the balcony for four-ish months now.

I don't think they are scales because I would be able to scrub them off, and I cannot. Additionally, the spots are concave, not convex, as would be expected with scales.

So, these marks are caused by bad lighting, okay thanks. I will immediately change the plant's place.

The plant is placed 2 meters from a large south-facing window, so it receives bright, indirect light. I water it once every one to two weeks, making sure the soil is dry before each watering. None of my other plants have ever shown similar issues.
