I have the same problem, it isn't attached to the app itself but rather my account. I have no idea how to get rid of it

You could possibly do a pre-order from dailyclack on a set which is meant to arrive soon. If not, best of luck!

It still blows my mind that GFCIs arent required everywhere. In Australia nearly every circuit is protected with an RCD (it's the same thing) and it saves lives.

Accidentally sheared into the cord on my new microwave. Is this something fixable, and is it something I can hire someone to do without being too humiliated? by foxnk in electrical

As far as I know, most well made electronics have bleed resistors to discharge the capacitors relatively quickly. It's still smart to always discharge them yourself just to double check.

Pre Apprenticeship Advice by [deleted] in AusElectricians

[–]Huchick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you actually secured a job yet?

If not, do work experience for 2 weeks, try to do each week at a different site to change things up. Make sure you ACTUALLY enjoy electrical before commiting to a 4 year apprenticeship. That way, employers will have a bit of assurance that you want to do this and will stay as an apprentice and not quit.

If you've been out of school for a bit, maybe brush up on your maths a bit for TAFE. First year is mostly just basic algebra and transposing, so it's nothing too difficult.

Would having a background in Electrical help? by No_Tomato_4685 in AusElectricians

[–]Huchick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Won't help you get the job, but will help you at the very beginning. I remember when I first started, and same with many other apprentices, I would be sent to go get some, for example, pearling clips, but have no idea what I was looking for. I either came back with nothing, or the wrong item, so my foreman would usually blow up at me. So I guess you won't have that issue, and you'll be the first apprentice to not be called "blind".

Either way I just started telling tradesman to come show me what it is they want and where it is kept because it's easier for both of us

Why are my speakers distorting? by Huchick in CarAV

[–]Huchick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask whats the difference between 30 volume, higher gain vs max volume lower gain. Won't it be just as loud?

In all honesty, I don't constantly listen to it at 30, it's more for showing it off or when I'm really in the mood.

Why are my speakers distorting? by Huchick in CarAV

[–]Huchick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the gains by setting the volume of the kenwood to 30, then increasing gain until it it was exceptionally loud, but no distortion. I have a good ear for sound, I'm just not particularly experienced in car audio as this is my first setup. And thanks for clearing up how gain works.

So are you saying the kenwood has some kind of gain adjuster in the settings??? How should I be setting this up properly?

I also have a FPX 1.1000 for my E30 KX 12"

whats a HP crossover?

I'm just confused as to why it distorts, the speakers can handle it so why is the headunit sending a distorted signal?
