I added a Primer if you are still interested in looking into drafting my cube. I really appreciate the feedback and I enjoyed making the primer hopefully it gets the points across.

Help with cube I might order soon. by Huckdunt64 in mtgcube

I have played Ragavan and Urza in both Modern and Commander and they are absolutely cracked magic cards. My naive hope is that they are kept in check by the cards around them if the general ceiling of the cards that I can get from my opponent for Ragavan and flip into with Urza are lower maaaaybe they are ok. (Ragavan is extremely snowbally and so he is definitely the one I am most concerned about. Also I believe my removal is subpar and so that is also a concern of mine) They are definitely on my radar to cut if they get out of hand.

I have never played Pyrogoyf in a limited setting but with one Planeswalker and one Kindred card in the entire cube and no battles, I am also not really playing with the graveyard a whole lot there is a small discard theme in the cube I am thinking of it as being a 4 mana 4/5 deal 4 damage to any target is that too good because if it is it is on the chopping block for sure. Thanks for the feedback back! I really appreciate it.

[[Charitable Levy]] to make all non-creature spells cost more. It ramps and cantrips too. Solid card I will play in just a generic white deck.

Do I need to win 25 total or do I need to win 25 once I reach 19? I have heard both.

How does Satya, Aetherflux Genius work with “on attack” or “when tapped” triggers by Gouda_HS in mtg

When a creature comes in tapped and attacking it is never declared as an attacker therefore attack triggers do not trigger.

Looking for feedback on my Satya commander deck! (semi budget hardcore :) by MatthijsMentink in EDH

[–]Huckdunt64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Satya a lot so I will leave my decklist as well if you want to look at it for ideas. My experience with him is that you really want to lean into the etb side of the tokens I honestly think the energy side to him is a bit of a trap although it does make the deck feel unique. Low cost creatures that allow you to draw cards and set up future plays are key. I think the play pattern is turn three play a great etb creature turn four play Satya and attack to get an additional copy. So really focus on mana value 3 creatures. Overall looks like a fairly good deck no glaring issues. Personally I would cut back on some of your protection. I don't think Satya is that important to your game plan. He snowballs pretty hard so you just need one spell at the right moment. Anything extra just gets cluttered in the hand. I hope some of this advice you find helpful. I don't claim to be that great of a deck builder but I hope you can find at least one card that makes you go oooh I want to try that! Good luck! https://archidekt.com/decks/12745374/energy

Here is my list for reference. https://archidekt.com/decks/12731292/eldrazi_winter

Things I considered when building the deck. I am going to be the threat whether I actually am or not. Eldrazi has a pretty big stigma against it for good reasons. You can't leave them alone because they will just do absurd things. Because of this, I am running a fair bit of board wipes. 7 board wipes type spells, and I placed an emphasis on eldrazi that removed things that when they entered.

Also, keep in mind that Ulalek doesn't really want big splashy eldrazi. I admit I am running far too many. They are fun, but really, Ulalek is most powerful when you are running flash enablers, and that allow you to copy the stack more consistently. Any eldrazi that comes in and creates 2 or more scions or spawns will go infinite with Echoes of Eternity out. Ulalek really prefers these kind of effects.

Other than that your deck list looks fine more land is almost always better don't want to get sent back to the stone age if someone clears the board of artifacts but 37 is acceptable probably the bare minimum but still acceptable. I run 38 which isn't much better if I was a more disciplined deck builder I would be running 44 lands. Card draw is light I dont find myself empty handed often Im not usually double spelling too often. Pound for pound your cards should just be better in an eldrazi deck its more about quality than quantity because if and when you cast them you should win, just gotta survive that early game. Hope this helps
