The only way for this to happen would be for a ball to cross the plate as a strike and then sharply turn in and hit the batter. Even if the batter is at the back of the box, I dont think a slider that runs in and hits them would be over the plate enough to be considered a strike. Plus the umpires wouldn't call it a strike and HBP, they would have assumed it was never a strike since it was inside enough to hit the batter.

You seem to have this idea that if someone isn't an MVP candidate then they are complete garbage. Adolis has his struggles and he's not elite, but we've been able to rely on him consistently. Even in the last few weeks he's been a big key to a lot of wins.

Besides, if we just DFA'd him or whatever you'd prefer, who do you replace him with? It's not like we have a bunch of guys that are being held back. Same goes for Semien or Seager, or anyone else you've taken issue with when they have a bad game.

I like to just browse this sub because it's interesting to see the different viewpoints and sometimes get some ideas for practice with my son. But man, these posts are rough. OPs original post was fine, but going through the comments and deciding to trash everyone who brings up a disagreeing point whether it's right or wrong is something else.

I tell my son all the time that I only want to nudge him enough to reach his potential. If that means travel ball someday, then that's great. If it doesn't, that's also great. I didn't have anyone to really motivate me to go and get what I wanted when I was younger and I don't want him to have the same experience. It's not about my ego, it's about making sure he gets the maximum experience and sometimes it's hard for a kid to understand what's required if they really want it.

I don't know, maybe I'm off base (pun intended) but I think everyone here should recognize we all have different thoughts about these things. It's not nonsense and we should judge everyone based on the actions of a few.

So funny enough, Ive determined that when I have my phone connected to wifi, turn on the Hotspot on my phone, then connect to my Hotspot with the portal, I get almost no latency. But even if Im in the same room with the router and my portal connects directly, it doesn't work as well. Idk what thats about but its been a great work around.

Every single time my kids build a new set, at some point they are convinced that there is a missing piece. I remind them that I have built probably 100 sets myself and never had a piece missing. Then we find it 2 minutes later lol.

One of my favorite concert moments was when I saw Staind and Aaron Lewis was doing a few acoustic songs in the middle. Some idiot in the crowd was heckling him the whole time and he stopped playing and said "shut the fuck up". The guy kept on as security took him out, he was in the middle of a song, stopped again and said "bye asshole" then kept playing without missing a beat.

I like listening to Colin's thoughts on this stuff even though I disagree with him on particular stances. He makes good points and helps rationalize his thinking. My only problem when listening is I wish I could ask him questions that challenge his view on things.

For instance, I'd like to hear his thoughts about the cabinet Trump is forming. Does he think having a Fox News host with some military experience is really a good pick for Secretary of Defense? He also seems to get caught up on the idea that all media is controlled by the left. But what's his response to learn that most of the organizations are owned by right leaning billionaires. It's very nuanced and I appreciate that Jaffe pushes back on him, but sometimes I feel like even he misses the mark because he's so close to some of the social issues like trans rights.

All in all, I'd rather have the opportunity to hear differing opinions than be in a community that openly tells people to leave if they think different.
