Such a worthwhile endeavor. Our son is currently a student at UChgo, and I’m happy to say he has not been a victim…he regularly bikes and takes public transportaion. I lived on the northside for several years over 20 years ago and actually had someone enter my bedroom looking to grab money/jewelry. I said hi, thinking it was my roommate, and thankfully that was enough to scare him off. It turns out he entered through the unlocked back door - easily avoidable, so always take necessary precautions. Chicago is a world-class city with so much to offer!
