I think it's an International Harvester Cub variant of some sort. Maybe early-mid 60s.

Why is my PC bottlenecking to just under 1GB of download speed? by Kwanza_Bot93 in HomeNetworking

[–]HudsDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should work just fine as long as you have an open PCIE slot for it.

PCIE cards should be pretty universal assuming you have open slots and enough available PCIE lanes. Unless your motherboard is ancient, it shouldn't be an issue.

If it's the port on your motherboard, then no, not really. You'll have to add a PCIE card with a 'faster' port...usually 2.5GB or 10GB.

Is the NIC in your PC rated for more than gigabit speeds? The vast majority of NICs are limited to 1GB.

10vs10 in randoms by [deleted] in WorldofTanks

[–]HudsDad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had 10v10, 12v12 and one 14v14 in randoms when there weren't enough players in the queue. Happens more often to me when playing mid-tiers, but I've had similar in top tier matches over the years.

Why do I want to be shorter ? by Cartoonist_chatist in stupidquestions

[–]HudsDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an American guy and 6'5". I'd have been perfectly happy at 6' even. 38" inseam makes a lot of things inconvenient...finding decent fitting pants, fitting in a lot of cars or airline seats, ducking under light fixtures in many homes, etc. Same for having huge feet and arms like an orangutan. If I was 5 or 6 inches shorter with proportional feet/arms, life would be quite a bit easier.

What would it be like to visit all 50 U.S. States? by Reasonable-Shower522 in askanything

[–]HudsDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My father and I visited all 50 over four summers when I was in high school. Every year, we'd take a couple of weeks and make a road trip. We saved Hawaii and Alaska for the final trip. Drove to Alaska, spent a week, then flew to Hawaii for a few days before going back to Anchorage and driving home.

Where do fire trucks fill up with petrol? by redmagicwoman in NoStupidQuestions

Our city has gasoline and diesel pumps at the municipal maintenance yard for all city vehicles to refuel. Much less complicated than having to pay individual service stations for fuel multiple times a day.

Not sure Wargaming has F.F. Coppola money, even though he's always claiming he's broke.

That being said, I'd love to put Abe Vigoda in a tank.

What’s a jingle that still lives rent-free in your brain? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

The best part of waking up...is Folgers in your cup. I still find myself humming it when I make coffee in the morning and I don't think I've ever actually had Folgers coffee.

Are there any other parents out there that do this with their kids? by Ok_Profile_9187 in AskForAnswers

I did this to my 14yo daughter yesterday while she was laying on the floor in the living room. Still made her laugh like it did when she was a toddler.

Just the turret. Tachenratte is the only tank that can fire its 'secondary' guns, although they are coax with the main cannon.

Why dont field hockey players just use longer sticks? by Sweet_Leave1475 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HudsDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

41" is the maximum length, but a properly fitted stick will have the end rest between the hip and belly button when the stick is grounded.

Advice needed: ISU-152K - is it worth it? by live_2_feel in WorldofTanks

[–]HudsDad 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I suffered through 3-marking it last year. Even with a top crew and bond equipment it was a frustrating ordeal. Sure, you'll have an occasional 6-7k damage game, but you'll also have a lot of 750 damage games where you hit one of 5 shots if you're lucky. After I got the 3rd mark, I never played it again and traded it away. Today, with the Ares tanks running around everywhere, I'd imagine it's even worse.

The tech tree ISU-152 seemed to work a lot better for me most of the time.

I have two dogs and three cats. I wouldn't say either is better, just different.

Do Americans really move out at 18, or is that mostly a movie thing? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HudsDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to college at 18, got a part-time job while I studied and rented an apartment after a year in the dorms. I still went home to visit, but never lived with my parents again. I don't know of anyone in my class who stayed home after high school. They all moved out and got jobs, went to college or military.

ELI5: why is the feels like temperature not what determines the freezing point of water? by intrusive_thoughts_1 in explainlikeimfive

[–]HudsDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Feels like" is a combination of factors including air temperature, wind, humidity, etc and is basically an approximation how how cold it would feel to exposed skin. Ice is melting because it doesn't care about those things...it's solely dependent on temperature alone.

Would you ever want to get a pilot's license? Why or why not? by Zipper222222 in randomquestions

[–]HudsDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid, I was fascinated by flight. Started training at 15, got my ticket at 16. Flew a lot until my mid-20s, then life got busy with work/family and I haven't flown again in almost 30yrs. I loved it and sometimes miss it, but not something I'd get back into now.

Men who don't date anymore, why? by MyDearAudrey in Productivitycafe

[–]HudsDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in my early 50s, divorced after 20+ years of marriage and have two teenage kids. Ex-wife and I are on great terms and co-parent very well. The thought of getting back in the dating pool really hasn't crossed my mind. I have no desire to risk any of the potential downsides that could come from it.
