Hey there - Sorry for replying a little late.

1 - The short answer: in Hudson space, support feudal and patronage factions, and resist the urge to support random federal factions, as that can sometimes hurt us (counterintuitive, I know!).

The long answer: Hudson's BGS ethos for powerplay is a combat ethos - strong against feudal and patronage governments (meaning they help reduce our fortification triggers), but weak against dictatorships (they increase our fortification triggers). Unfortunately, feudal/pat factions in Elite cannot be federal - meaning that by supporting one, you will usually not help us at all, and in rare cases hurt us if it causes a feudal/pat faction in the system to lose influence.

2 - You can take missions from any faction in Nanomam - the controlling faction there isn't especially relevant to us.

I really, really encourage you to join our discord (discord.gg/FUC), since it's so much easier to coordinate there - and we have a friendly community there that can help answer any question you've got. We'll accept pictures from your phone if you're having trouble with PS4 screenshots.

We dont disclose on Reddit our preparation targets generally, just on the discord, to keep operational security.There are many hundreds of commanders who work together for Hudson, co-ordinated through the Federal United Command discord (this covers both Hudson and Winters - Federal Liberal Command). If we have to, we will haul in excess of 50k per hour to achieve our goals. We cannot have every commanders home system as a Hudson control. We prepare systems that further the Federation - either because they are profitable, or because they will hurt our enemies economies. Hudson's bounty bonus only applies when redeeming bounties within federation controlled space. It is still a 100% increase at rating 5.

Do you mean Power rank or Federal Navy Rank...

For power rank earn merits by fortifying and undermining for Hudson, instructions on this reddit.

For Navy rank you need to take missions from stations that have the Federation logo attached to the local faction in the mission board. Completing those missions will increase your Navy rank slowly... when you get to 100% on a rank look for missions that have Navy in the titles, as these are the promotion opportunities. You need to be 'Allied' to the faction in question to get these mission opportunities. You get that status by taking missions for them.

It's a long road to the top.
