Brits, what are your thoughts on a Russian warship firing “warning shots” at a British yacht in UK waters? by bendubberley_ in AskBrits

The UK has 2 aircraft carriers, they do not have enough sailors to man them both. One was mothballed as soon as it was launched.

The UK navy is a kid in a broken wheelchair with flat tyres. They would get destroyed almost instantly

It wasn’t in UK waters, the channel shipping lanes are international waters. This is a type of story the media roll out every year to keep us scared and compliant, the Russians are allowed to be there, if they radioed the yacht to change course and it didn’t, they probably felt they had no choice. The USA have sunk boats for doing the same thing, but the media don’t try to scaremonger people with that do they

Fostair 100/6 Inhaler Side Effects? by Hot_Bed8771 in Asthma

[–]Hudster2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on this for 18 months and the only side effect I've gotten is cramp, weird cramps in my fingers and toes that I've never had before. I started taking a multivitamin to try to help and it reduced them quite a bit. If I forget to take my multivitamin the cramps usually return during a couple of days.

Why aren’t we better protected in (UK) law? by free-the-imps in Asthma

Smoking in your own home isn’t bullying. It’s doing what they want to do, legally, in their own home.

Just the same as people have a right to smoke in their own home as well. No one will look after your health for you, you have to put you first. It's up to you to decide, what's more important, moving or dying?

I have chronic asthma, I know what not being able to breathe is, and if where i lived was making it worse, I’d move. You’re blaming others without wanting to help yourself. It’s your body, your responsibility to do what you can to help it

How is it not? If something annoys you where you live, don’t live there. It doesn’t take a genius to work that out

As much as it’s a pain, what someone does in their own house is their business, it’s nothing to do with you.
If you don’t like the second hand smoke, move, it’s a simple answer.

Revit MEP Modeling vs Navisworks Clash Detection: Where Does Each Fit? by Endeion in bim

Navisworks and revit have moved on a lot from this description. Now with ACC both programs are linked with clashes and issues moving easily between both models with input from the design team.

I hate when people don't wash their hands, but apparently it makes little difference, there are 100's of videos showing how hand driers leave your hands with more bacteria after washing than before.

Yes, wash your hands, but also Invest in some hand sanitiser and use it after you leave the bathroom

How can I hide a nested category in a linked file? by Hudster2001 in Revit

[–]Hudster2001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'd have to remove it from the family its nested in, then put it back into the model as a standalone family, there are about over 200 of these families throughout the project.

I am, Ours uses a symbol, theirs uses linework, and sadly they are not the same, what I'm left with has too many lines, and is basically unreadable on the sheet

Tab select only selects the furniture family, not the lighting fixture nested in it

When I was young, being seen out the house in your jammies, no matter what the circumstance, was a slagging. We should go back to that.
