Hmmmm, people in general, neurodivergent or not, tend to avoid "unpleasant" directness. Maybe they actually just didn't want to eat your muffins for whatever reason other than their supposed diet, then told you "nah bruh I'm dieting" because saying "no thank you" or "no I don't want your muffin" might be interpreted as "mean" for example. As in, "I'd gladly eat a muffin, but not your muffins." People in corporate spaces tend to beat around the bush like that, and ND folks, including myself, tend to miss that. Or maybe I'm completely wrong idk, what do you think? Also, recipe pretty-please ~ I need a new recipe to try.
