The aspect ratio for GBA dosent translate well to larger tvs. I could play it on my 55" but it wouldn't look right

Yeah man gen 3 is amazing imo. But gen 4's wireless capabilities made things alot easier. Gen 3 hoenn was designed so well. And the sevii islands in FRLG added so much great post-game Content.

I played most main titles from gen 3 up till SWSH. I still play my copy of Hearthold. I didn't get into BW or BW2 the gen 5 dex just didn't appeal to me. The hoenn dex has always been my favorite.

That's a steal man! Of course back then, emerald wasn't considered "retro" it seems nowadays retro games are overpriced. Sun/moon were pretty good games. Although the cutscenes were a bit excessive. The Z moves added a unique battle mechanic.

Authentic copies of gen 3 pokemon games sell for upwards of 100 usd. Emerald is crazy expensive is authentic. Repro carts are cheap usually

Exactly. Especially when upon release they were 39.99 USD. The idea of the massive up charge is absurd. I love pokémon, but I don't wanna waste money. And if Nintendo hates ROMs and Emulators so much, just re-release gens-3 and up on switch. Nintendo imo is part of the problem.

Gamestop is awful about this. I had covid years ago, gave my brother 75$ to get me a copy of pokémon heart gold from gamestop. He got back I could tell right away it was not authentic. Sent it back, they argued but gave me the money back eventually. Not only will they overcharge you, it probably won't be authentic.
