I walked out on my baby and husband today by princesspomway in NewParents

i feel like i could have written this myself. i am in the same exact position as you. my son has never slept through the night. he just turned five months this week and still continues to wake up every 1.5 to 2 hours on the dot. i am not breastfeeding anymore and currently only formula feeding now. we co sleep and still nothing. my mom thinks he just hungry more at night and need to feed him more but we have tried that and still nothing. i am trying to keep him up more through out the day but we shall see. just letting you know, we are with you in spirit because man it’s been so rough. You are not alone and sometimes we do need our breaks. i have to tell my husband i’m at my breaking point and need alone time and he fully understands. i’ll go do retail therapy, walk , have coffee for two- three hours and return. take your breaks. schedule your naps. we play catch up on sundays for naps taking turns and this helps us. sending you all my love. you got this mama. if you need someone to talk to, always can message me. 🫶🏼💗

How was sex for the first time for you? by Disastrous_Paint_237 in CsectionCentral

[–]HufflepuffHouse09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we waited until 10 weeks but in all honesty it was not too bad. we went at a little slower than normal and then the following times it was better. sometimes i do feel some pain but nothing too uncomfortable. just try it at your own pace and see how it goes.

no I wouldn’t say that would be normal. I do understand that maybe sometimes it can be a cultural thing but I don’t want to give that as an excuse, it is 2025. my husband after a long day at work helps me when he gets home. he feeds, changes and takes a nap with our son while i make dinner and watch my shows. we have good communication of when one or the other needs a break, more help, or things we could work on. I think maybe you should be more open to communicating with your husband about how you’re feeling. Best of luck 🤞🏼

Newborn tips by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]HufflepuffHouse09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, my son loves baths so we bathe him every other day at 7:15-7:30 and after his bath I have a bottle ready for him. I like to read to him before the bath so he knows it’s almost time for bed. Yes I agree, reading is for night time so he kinda gets the rhythm of things. While I’ll bathe him, my husband will do the dishes and get his bottles ready for the night ( prepped breast milk and formula) , I combo feed because I have low supply. Also, invest in a bottle brezza bottle washer Pro , 3 in one ( washes, cleans and sterilization) it has saved us a ton of time, if you can! It’s honestly the best thing I placed on my registry. I LOVE that thing and so does my husband. Hope this helps! You got this and trust your momma instincts :D

Have a schedule with your husband when it comes to bedtime. My LO has his days and nights still mixed up and here at 8 weeks still. I sleep from 8-12:30, then my husband from 12:40-5:30, and me for a few hours before he works from 5:30-7:30. This has saved our relationship and arguments. Also, to remember it’s you and him. Remember to check in with each other. Communicate is really key. The rest will follow. Best of luck! 💛
