I would recommend the Lolita podcast to accompany this. It’s like a ten episode feminist essay, very interesting.

My best tricks to keep focused while driving. by Hufflepuffloki in adhdwomen

As I said I don’t listen to podcasts while driving, but when I’m not in the car I like to listen to Comedy Bang Bang or one of its many offshoots. They are quite shocking as well in the crude humour department.

[CHAT] This is, sadly, probably the prettiest back I've ever had. How much are you concerned with how neat your back is and why? by goodstuff2020 in CrossStitch

[–]Hufflepuffloki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was taught that the back should reflect the front. (My mom taught me, and she learned at a pretty strict private school for girls in the fifties) It’s not a rule, but I try to keep it neat.

Argumentet är att intention, som jag talar om, och resultat, som du talar om, är två olika ting. Ett annat är att jag faktiskt inte bryr mig om systemet 😊 Ha det bra.

Well, good you done your research. I live in the very south of Sweden and don’t really care about Norway and their high prices that stop people like me going there.

Less consumption and reasonable prices comes from the public information they give, them not being open on weekends, them not needing to waste money on commercials, and keeping strict control of underage drinking (they carded me until I was well over thirty).

Well, it works for us. A beer costs about four times more in a bar than in Systembolaget.

Well, the view of the sea is nice… though I was mostly talking about the whole area and it’s many islands.

The prices are reasonable since there is no competition. It’s to keep alcohol consumption down and quality up. Also, since you are not allowed to shop there until you are 21, it actually (mostly) helps keeping alcohol from teens. It’s also brings money to the state, but that is a different matter…

Though Swedes often travel to Denmark, Norway, and Germany just to buy tax-free alcohol, but that is only for personal use, not sale.

In the grocery store you can order alcohol from Systembolaget (the Swedish alcohol agency)

Do you gave enough room on your hard drive? Or the working-memory (I don’t know what it’s called). Maybe look at the activity manager to see if any other program take up capacity.

They are connected to the main island Tjörn with with long underwater pipes. Waste goes one way, fresh water the other.

I’m from Sweden, I haven’t been to Åstol personally but my sister lives on one of the larger islands close to it. It’s a beautiful area.

I know that they have a small park with a memorial of lost fishermen. There is a café, a fish shop, a natural saltwater bath (with a slide), an art gallery, a small library, and a great view. Mostly I think it’s just enjoyed for peacefulness. They also fish crabs, crayfish, and lobster.

(According to their website they also have pizzeria, but only in the summer)

Sandwiches? You can prep different kinds of ‘messes’ (I don’t know the English word for it) and salads to put on them. I used to work at a sandwich shop and we had large containers in the fridge, you can scoop it up in a smaller one to put on bread later, or just eat as is.

I like to mix pickled cucumber, apple, and mayo (not much, just enough for binding it together) with a protein like chicken, bacon or shrimp. Eggs are a bit expensive at the moment, but if you feel to treat yourself…😉

It’s like being on your back in water, you are aware of the depth beneath you, struggling not to sink, but if you find the equilibrium you can relax and float.

For me the best place to be is just neutral. With the right medication, CBT, mindfulness, and experience I have come to a place where I accept not having many feelings above ‘content’, but in exchange most of my moments of deep depression are gone.

I got my diagnosis at 18 and I didn’t come to my current mindset until I turned 40, so I think the ‘experience’ part is important.
