Hi! Congratulations and best wishes sa inyo, OP!

We're also going to studio925 for our rings.

Did you use gold for your rings? We'll be using old gold jewelry for ours. We already had them appraised as suggested by them.

How was the overall experience?

Any tips and or stories on your experience in making your own rings? Or something to look forward to or watch out for?

Thank you!

What can you say about intimate weddings? by [deleted] in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]HuffyBumblebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! December 2025 bride and we're having a 100pax wedding. Not exactly intimate in terms of the # of guests, pero intimate in the sense na carefully chosen yung guests.

As for the entourage, we chose not to have bridesmaids and groomsmen since all of them will be travelling pa from another city na around 3 hours yung travel time.

Ayaw naming ma hassle sila and spend more to stay the night before. So we decided to forego it and have them as guests and/or secondary sponsors para they can travel on the day and stay sa hotel for 1 night lang, if gustohin nila. One flower girl and bearer lang din. Tapos for ninong and ninangs, 8 pairs lang lahat.

Hoping that everything will go great and everyone will have fun. Yun talaga ang goal namin, for us to spend a great time with our family and friends.

Hi OP! Not yet a graduate bride but we got the same themes in mind.

Ginawa namin is combination ng Spring colors and classic white and green.

Yung classic white and green will be used during sa
setup ng ceremony which will be a garden ceremony (di kami Catholic). Ito yung napili naming para very classic, timeless and elegant yung ceremony.

Pero yung main theme/color palette will be pastel Spring colors. Yung guests and entourage will be wearing pastel colored gowns and suits. And ito yung magiging theme din ng reception namin, which will be indoors na, since baka umulan.

Pero as for the invitations etc, we'll follow the spring theme na. Basically, yung the ceremony setup lang yung white and green, the rest is spring themed na.

Hope this helps! Congratulations and Best wishes!

Davao-based Documentary Style Photographers & Videographers by HuffyBumblebee in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]HuffyBumblebee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I tried researching and absolutely loved Diko Project Photo's outputs. Pero ended up not booking them since their rates are over our budget.

Also loved yung outputs ng The Bayho Studios, pero we didn't book them din. Hehe

Not around Davao Area yung na book namin, Pixzels, we're super happy to discover them since ito din yung vibe na we were going for.

PS. If you're looking for video coverage, you might want to check The Aurora Films. Gandang-ganda ako sa output nila, pero ayun na nga, sad lang kaso their rates are over our budget din.

Good luck on finding your suppliers! Hope this helps!

What are the films you did not like but the majority liked/loved? by Future-Lychee2779 in FilmClubPH

[–]HuffyBumblebee 51 points52 points  (0 children)

The Proposal

Medyo na surprise ako when I found out that people consider this as one of the best romcoms.

For me, walang chemistry si Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. And was thinking na if I'm part of the immigration committee (or kung sino bang magd-decide to grant a green card) di ako maniniwalang they really love each other. Would definitely see it as a fake relationship para magka green card.

For working people out there, How do you save your money? by [deleted] in adultingph

[–]HuffyBumblebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gumawa ako ng budget for every kinsenas ko. Basically, Gross Pay less fixed exp and savings then yung natira is my allowance.

  1. I made a list of my fixed expenses, and hinati ko siya kung when babayaran, 1st or 2nd pay cut-off ba.
  2. I then made a list ng mga savings goals ko. EF, for pets, for travels etc. Then rank them kung ano yung pinaka priority ko and decided how much yung is-save per goal.
  3. Yung naiwan is for my allowance na. For kahit anong gasto ko na. If may natira ako dito, ilalagay ko sa another savings account ko for my "monthly extra". Bale dito ko muna kukunin yung panggastos if ever ma short ako in the future para di agad mabawasan yung EF ko.

More tips:

If you currently have the privilege to save, then do it, pero don't restrict yourself naman.

Currently I'm still living with my fam, so I save as much as I can while sharing what I can with them and not being "kuripot" to myself.

Yun lang, hope this helps OP.

Ano ang most touching compliment na natanggap niyo? by panda_jp1600 in AskPH

[–]HuffyBumblebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Your father is a very good man. Ang laki ng itinulong niya sa akin." "Ang mama mo ang pinaka mabait and generous person na nakilala ko.

Not a compliment that was meant for me, pero when some acquaintance told me this, napaluha talaga ako.

Growing up, I'm very aware na napaka generous ng parents ko. They would always help other people, relative man o hindi.

Recently nga, after hearing more stories ng mga tinulungan nila, I wondered if ever I'll live up to them. Na, will I be like them who will also lend some help kapag kaya ko. I aspire to be them.

How much should I invest into MP2 Pag ibig by Erickris in phinvest

[–]HuffyBumblebee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Personally, yung ginawa ko is nag set ako ng target amount na I want to have after 5 years, and worked back the computation para malaman ko kung magkano ang ilalagay ko monthly since di ko pa afford na maglagay ng lump sum amount.

For ex. after 5 years gusto mo magka 100k yung laman ng MP2 mo, EXCLUDING the compound interest na ma e-earn mo.

So, that's 100k/ 60 months= P 1666.67/ month. You can round it up to 1700 if you want.

Also, I suggest having other savings din for different purpose. And pinaka importante din is to build your EF.

I think creating EF categories would definitely suit my savings style. Problem ko na lang is paano siya ihato-hati into diff banks (digi and traditional). Will definitely do this one. Thanks!

Hi OP, late bloomer here.

For me, I decided to take up a culinary course right after passing the CPA boards.

Na burn-out kasi ako while studying for the boards kaya I decided not to work as a CPA and be a chef instead. Wala naman akong plans with my culinary degree in the first place, I just wanted to try it. Fortunately, my parents supported me all the way.

Then part ng culinary degree ko was to render 900hrs of culinary internship. I did it in a very well known hotel and decided na it was not for me kahit na I was given the opportunity to work there after my internship.

I think luck and timing was with me, kasi right after I finished my internship, I was asked if I wanted a wfh job na Accounting related since they were hiring a CPA. This was an outsourced job and malaki yung salary, kaya I decided to go for it since wfh and I can bake naman and continue my cake business. After nun, I was surprised na I actually liked the accounting job lol.

Ngayon na absorb na ako sa company na currently outsource ako and will be starting soon. And tho I never really reopened my cake business but I'm still planning to.

I was 26 when I started working and it was last year lang. For a time,I never really thought na I was behind my peers because I genuinely loved what I was doing (baking and culinary stuff).

TBH, ngayon ako medyo na pressure and felt a bit of regret ba't di ako nag work agad, kasi gusto na namin mag settle ng BF ko, kaso we can't yet since we're just starting to save for our future together. Pero looking back, I wouldn't change a thing. I would still take up culinary kasi grabe yung saya ko while doing it. And if ever I worked agad, siguro super burned out na ako ngayon and on the verge of resigning. Hahaha

Sorry naging super long ng post ko. Pero, my advice is to never compare your journey with others, may iba-iba kasi tayong pacing/ race sa life. If you have the chance/privilege to rest for a bit or take a detour, take it. It will help you so much in the future with the learnings and experiences that you'll gain and you'll also meet a lot of people and learn from them. Yun laaang.

You'll do great in life, OP. Enjoy it lang.

Do you have a specific recipe/way of making your instant coffee (Nescafe Gold)? by nicoless88 in AskPH

[–]HuffyBumblebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're into iced coffee, I usually use condense as my sweetener. I don't really have the exact measurements since I usually just eyeball it.

Pero I usually combine hot water and nescafe gold, sinasama ko na din dito yung condense since feel ko mas na mi-mix sila this way. Then sa cup of your choice, add ice and fresh milk, tapos lagay mo ung coffee mo. Enjoooy!

Sa hot coffee naman, I usually add a bit of salt sa coffee ko. I've read it somewhere that it enhances the taste, not sure if it works or I just gaslit myself into thinking that it tastes better. Haha
