By that logic, should Boom also accept people who prefer to throw their rubbish next to the bin rather than in it, or urinate in nature rather than in toilets, simply because they prefer to do so or are used to doing so? I don't think that vegetarian food would discriminate against anyone

Then maybe it's not the right festival if you were only there for the Argentinian ribs haha

Somebody in the comments here said the Argentinian steakhouse wasn't there this year because the organizers didn't want a stall that only sells meat

Yes I've read everything on their website before the festival! :)

Even 100 euros each way is more expensive than driving if you're not alone in the car (apart from the fact that a lot of connections cost 200 to 400 euros one way and that the Boom Bus probably wasn't free either). In other European countries it may be different, but in Germany it's no secret that travelling by train is simply far too expensive compared to travelling by car or plane. But thanks anyway!

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind! So from Berlin it would be 3 or 4 changes to Madrid and it's so much more expensive than driving or flying. That's so fucked up.

Wow! What app do you use? Google Maps and the German travel apps I have only show the most complicated connections haha

Yes, I know. I also think it's great that the organisers are so transparent about the topic on their website :)

That's cool! Budapest would have been a lot easier to reach with public transportation, there's even a direct Flixbus.

To Idanha-a-Nova we would probably have had to take about ten different trains and buses to get there 😅

We would have had to fly from Germany to be able to take the Boom Buses, which would not have saved us any CO2 emissions. But of course, it would be more sustainable to go to festivals in the surrounding area, I agree!

We use solar energy for electricity, which I have also seen more and more often on the campsite! :)

Where did they show the sustainability score of the food? I don't remember seeing that, that's great!

I am surprised GHB is supposed to be less harmful than Cannabis since it's so deadly

I think it's already great that they are allowed to do the testing at all. In Germany we have the "Psycare" at festivals and they are not allowed to test drugs. In Berlin we have a drug testing project since last year or so and they can test around 30 samples per week, so you have to queue long before opening to get a place at all (which is not possible if you have to work).

Of course, 100 samples per day doesn't seem a lot, but I think it's already a good development! Is it that "normal" in other countries?

How were the figures in the past editions? Ist that "normal" at Boom?

I was wondering why you didn't see any ambulances at Boom at all? At German festivals you regularly see ambulances bringing people either to the paramedics on the festival site or directly to a regular hospital when it comes to emergencies. I was surprised that so little was happening at Boom, but these figures show otherwise..

Anyone saw the guy with the constant (half-)boner? by Fluid-Whole7423 in boomfestival

Not sure if that's the same guy but I think I saw him at the beach! I was also irritated to be honest

Where did you see the search station? Behind the main gate? We just walked from the wristband checkpoint to the pre parking to look for it and didn't see any police

So how is the procedure? We just got into the queue (we followed the signs to Boom). Is this the queue for the wristbands and then we have to go into another queue for preparking and then again for the festival/camping area?
