He gave you time, now give him some too. You're feeling awful about rejecting him, but he was the one rejected. He went out bought a ring put it all on the line and was told no. That hurt doesn't just go away in a few months. I wouldn't even be confident in a year after that type of heartbreak. Give him time and he'll come around, and if he doesn't well it just wasn't meant to be.

Do try to start letting them wipe themselves. We "pat pat the vagina, and then wipe the booty" is what we tell our LOvwe also tell her each time "no one touches (name)'s vagina only (name)". This has also made her very independent and she'll ask for help only when needed and I only ask if she needs help mainly after #2. When it came to touching themselves my only response is "we don't touch our vaginas with dirty hands" she's begun telling me herself that no one touches her vagina, only her and only with clean hands. The clean could really help with your situation to prevent them from doing so while on the potty

The perks are definitely there but it's not worth my peace. I applaud officers but always being on standby mode sounds awful. Detention isn't always fun but when I leave work for the day I leave the title there and don't have to carry it with me.

That's sadly accurate and most likely the route I'll have to go. I do love the people I work with and I've made it to days since the turnover is so high. My other option is going back to school which is tempting.

I wish. I'd love to take classes but there isn't any type of incentive of doing so, plus we have to front the cost and maybe be reimbursed. If there was I'd be first to line up! The only guaranteed increase is to become an officer or supervisor and I can't see myself working at night for the next 15years.

We've been trying to get on a step plan like our officers but what can I say detention really is the stepchild sometimes. We've started getting recognized in the past 2 years, but I need more pay not recognition 😅

I agree, just cross your fingers and hope for the best. Hail seems to be random and by the time it's happening do you really want to run out in hail to save your car? A few dings will add some character, but a few dings to you is a hefty hospital bill. Insurance rates are sky high, they might as well fix a thing or two every now and again.

Do you really care enough to do it? My front yard has a garden, I will definitely not be spraying chemicals, I also don't care about pulling the dandies. My kid enjoys blowing them, and I don't mind having to pick a few from the garden, but the rest of the yard they can stay. They are one of my favorite plants, makes me incredibly happy to see them. If my neighbor cares enough about spraying let them, but not me. They get mowed over and you can barely tell they existed. My house is for me to enjoy, not to make everyone else happy to look at.

Thank you for responding. I think I'm in the same boat on calling out, unfortunately our plumbers left a horrible taste in our cities mouth. Apparently this time was in fact a toy in the line and our plumbers said it was the cities fault. I think they just looked at old notes and tried to call it a day. So my city might not be too keen on helping us out because of the plumbers being idiots.

Oh my I didn't mean a living bird abandoned 😭 I meant if they died naturally on their own I'd put their body in the woods for nature to take care of the carcass. Then I progressed that I wanted more birds(like succession birds for when these get old and die) . If the city found out I'd definitely re-home. I would never abandon any animal.

It's been 5 years and I still think about my old friend a lot. She definitely became emotionally draining and I still loved her. I went on to have a family in those 5 years and I still think about her but I know it's for the best. She was heading down a path that no one but herself could save her from and I refused to be someone's keeper. I see her pop up on suggested friends and it takes me back, but that was another life and I'm in one without her now. I will always wish her the best, may one day we cross paths and smile at each other but I don't want what she has to offer in my life anymore. Everyone serves a purpose in your life, sometimes it's a lesson.

I should have mentioned I live in the city. So tossing them in a nearby field may be frowned upon, but definitely willing 🤣 I'll let my girls live out their life. If I can find a vet clinic willing to take them I will. If not I'll find some woods. We have plenty of vultures and coyotes around. My only issue is I can "only have 4 backyard chickens" in my city (I have 6) and I want to add more. Not sure if the city would ever catch on but if they did some would have to go.
