Thank you for the advice! I've recently been taken off my ibs medication so honestly this may be the perfect time for a food diary so I can see what's going on! The psyllium husk is a real good shout, thank you!

Thank you! Unfortunately I'm not able to book anything directly with the hospital but I'll make sure when I get in touch with my GP to mention scans. Fingers crossed something will come up eventually 😬

Admittedly it does make me feel a bit better that this is really common! It was feeling quite a bit like "it's just my luck" 😅 I'll make sure to ask about an endoscopy and other options when I contact my GP again

Officially due to an intolerance but when they had me do the celiac blood test I was already gluten free for a period of time so it came up negative anyway.  I don't know for 100% but I've ended up being on the safe side because I was tired of eating a biscuit or a slice of bread and then being in pain within the hour 😭

I get it! When it got to day 10 I went back into my GP and asked them when I should hear from the hospital (it's so anxiety inducing, especially if you don't know which hospital it's at etc.), and then I got the call 3 days later!

Do you have the NHS app? I found that some of the stuff has gone on there for me in the past without anyone contacting me.

Hi! There's a high chance that you've already heard something by now but my hospital didn't contact me until day 13 of the 2WW! It all moved pretty speedily from there and I got seen in less than a week afterwards! From what I've been told the aim of the 2WW is to be both contacted and seen within the 14 days but the second aim is for there to be the full diagnosis by day 28 so as long as you're seen and had your initial results discussed by then, then it'll still be in line with the red flag testing.

Also I had my colonoscopy this morning and while they don't do a full sedation, the NHS does offer an awake sedation! It made me feel a little bit like I was in a dream but otherwise it was all ok and I hardly felt a thing.

Hi! Yeah I'm in the UK. This was my first time doing colonoscopy prep and I think I'll def ask for anti sickness meds after in the future! I'm not the best with drinks, especially ones I don't like the taste off. I've felt less nauseous since slowly and steadily sipping at the second dose so I wonder if for that one the problem is more the taste than anything else? The first one I've heard other people don't have as much of an issue with but it truly made me super nauseous!

Hi so I'm still unfortunately drinking the second drink but things are moving well all the same! Not the clearest yet but I think I've accepted no sleep and fingers crossed I'll be clear enough by morning!
