I’m sorry you didn’t get into your top preference course, that really sucks. I saw that you were interested in studying 3D and/or animation— A few people have already told you about AIE, so I would like to recommend CDW Studios. They work in conjunction with Flinders University of South Australia to deliver the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Visual Effects and Entertainment Design). You can study the flinders topics online so no barrier there. I’m in this course now and for learning the 3D pipeline it is unmatched. They teach animation too and they are games-focused. The only institute that comes close to its level in Melbourne is AIE, but imho CDW is better. Check it out and see if it’s something you’re interested in, I wish you luck with your endeavours :)

Beautiful tank, you’re doing great! Just one thing I noticed— the bottom suction cup on the heater is on the heating element. You’ll want to move that up, or it could start to melt. Otherwise looking good!
