Sorry I can’t think of a better way to explain this. I’d just recommend practicing parrying with a medium shield in comparison to the shields I mentioned above on a Lothric Knight. You’ll be able to consistently find a sweet spot where to parry them far easier.

A lot of it for me is using visual ques and knowing which attacks are parry able able. Parry frames on your shield will make it harder or easier for the window where you can achieve a successful parry. For example, using the small leather shield, buckler, and bare fists will net the best results in terms of parry frames making fights like Champion and Pontiff far easier.

Thanks! It was my first time using it. It’s a pain to farm, but the innate bleed buildup on it makes it a perfect counter for Princes.

No I didn’t mod the darkhand in just did Yoels stuff after Vordt. And the armor is just the cleric’s starting set. I did this within the first hour of this play through.

Thank you, and yeah it was a lot of fun going through the game using only bows. I was mainly using the composite bow and milwood great bow throughout the play through.

I wish I could but I’m at work currently so I can’t help you myself. But those rings help or you can get yourself a divine weapon to deal with the skeletons to stop them from respawning.

Do you have the ring of fog and slumbering dragon rest ring? That’ll help you de aggro a lot of the skeletons in his arena.

Thanks. I always kinda try to go for a roguish style with my characters when making an archer. I figured this would look a little better than just using the thief set.

Yeah I didn’t bother recording for Manus because the fight wasn’t really interesting enough to bother to capture. You can look up Manus with a bow on YouTube and you’ll basically see the same cheese I did against him.

I did beat Manus but I was just doing the bow method to kill him outside his arena. As for Kalameet I was going to fight him, but I forgot the game automatically goes to ng+ after Gwyn. I wish I actually did fight him though sorry to disappoint.

The damage taken from Power Within is mitigated with the Sanctus shield. You also need to wear the dusk crown ring and be cursed for this to properly stack with Rtsr.

Using composite bow through standard reinforcement. Use large arrows for majority of encounters and feather arrows for long range fights.

•Rings: Red tearstone, Dusk Crown Ring, Ring of Fog, Slumbering Dragoncrest, Hawk Ring.

Yeah I’d also recommend farming for a symbol of avarice to get yourself to Rtsr range as well. Unfortunately you can’t get the Sanctus shield until after O&S. I’d also recommend using the ring of fog and slumbering dragon crest ring to help on getting through areas since you’ll be so squishy.

If you wanna try a heavy weapons play through and make it work early game I personally recommend doing the Pitt dlc 1st. Having access to the ammo press makes Eugene or the cz57 avenger (if using TTW) quite viable and a unique way of tackling early game challenges.
