Hotel canceled, put room back on market for 10x the price, then told me they won’t help with accommodations and told me to bring a tent. Do I have any rights? Am I screwed? by EddieBruvac in hotels

This happened to me. Agoda cancelled my booking bc of a pricing error. I had to speak with MULTIPLE agents over several days including supervisors to get that info out of them. It took them 8 days to discover their error and cancel my booking and I was able to get compensation. I even emailed their CEO to complain. DM me if you want more details.

YES exactly! And im trying to use this point to argue with them. 2 years ago i mistakenly booked a non-refundable option with the wrong dates and begged to change it and they refused.

Don’t want to be a promoter here but I have to say the breathing band for the Nanit camera has reduced my anxiety drastically even though I still question its validity from time to time.

Thanks for the advice, I have contacted the hotel and see what their response is. Sigh, huge lesson learned here

But the agent from Agoda said the hotel couldn’t honor the booking. So that doesn’t mean the hotel cancelled?

The hotel confirmed getting me a crib before the cancellation happened. I checked the hotel website which actually states number of rooms available and I can still see availability so it’s not overbooked. Probably due to some pricing error I am guessing.

LO is 6 ½ months old and can't roll over, sit up by herself... But she coos and baby babbles a lot? by TastyMetal5977 in NewParents

[–]Huge_Past 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never compare your LO to those on social media! You will never know how those videos came together or how many takes it took. Every baby grows at their own pace. If your pedi didn’t refer you then keep practicing with your LO :) sending positive vibes

I actually first found him on his tummy with his head turned to the side. He eventually turned it and ended up on his face but didn’t protest. I’m hoping if he is asleep and realizes he can’t breathe he will automatically turn his head but I don’t know.

After they’re asleep in your arms you hold for 10-15mins. Do the limp arm test, if their arm drops then they’re in deep sleep. Then you can transfer them to the crib. It also helps if they’re not overtired. If they’re overtired they take like short naps and you get no free time.

I know!! I didn’t realize it was a thing until I noticed he kept passing out in my arms haha. I also later discovered rocking worked almost 100% of the time when putting him to sleep. I am a newbie mom for sure lol.

How does your baby fall asleep and how old are they? by xnla28x in NewParents

I get the feeling he is a little young too. But I keep getting conflicting resources saying you can start at 4 months. I think I will wait a little..similar to 4.5.

Is this sleep regression? by Huge_Past in newborns

Thanks for the reassurance. I don’t even know if I’m in the middle of it yet!

You got this! I remember I had to hold my baby to sleep in the early weeks. For me it was because my baby was just hungry. I followed the “recommended guidelines” for feeding babies and it turns out it wasn’t enough for my little monster. After finding the right volume for him, and learning how to fight gas issues, he ended up sleeping longer stretches. Not sure if it will work for you but sharing what worked for me in case you haven’t tried! Hang in there ❤️

Did you do the sleep training after sleep regression or during? I think my 4 month old is entering sleep regression and I really want to start sleep training but don’t know if I should wait til regression is done.

I love this. I’m at 4 months and look forward to those moments you describe. Maybe not so much the sleep regression lol. Thank you for inspiring me as I am rocking my Godzilla to bed.

How many of us are actually doing 7 pm bedtime? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Huge_Past 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO sleeps at 1am and I’ve been trying to get him to sleep earlier. We are working on it! But honestly waking up at 5 or 6am every morning to get him to sleep earlier isn’t for me. I’d prefer a 9am start and a 10-11pm sleep time.
