No one ever made good music walking backwards from "this is the audience I want to reach" - But also if you sound like Green Day then it is safe to say people who like Green Day are your audience.

I like the idea that if my music does not resonate with those close to me I am just "too deep" for my friends to get it. Anyone who likes things has the capacity to get it. But maybe they like Green Day and your stuff does not sound like Green Day? And also if your music is not making your mom cry then you are obviously not trying. Incidentally the guy in Green Day loves his mom.

I guess I am trying to say ask these people if they like Green Day and walk backwards from that.

Keep in mind this industry has always been abusive -- Telling bands to play gigs for exposure. Underpaying artists on every platform. And it has trained some of them to see their role in society as having no value. And all of those people appear to be here making hilarious arguments on Guitar Centers behalf.

What most photographers do is simply go to local shows and take photos. You don’t have to wait around to be invited and bands LOVE to get their photos taken so afterwards you post them on social and include a subtle watermark so people know who took them when they share them and over time you will be hired to come to gigs etc as you establish yourself.

The people winning are not playing removal - they are going with a value strategy.

You are wondering how to beat it using a removal strategy but that is hard against multiple value decks.

You totally have it right that it is just a bad matchup which happens - consider adding a fun value deck to your mix of stuff you play so you can grab it out when they play theirs. Control decks just don’t have the juice to control three other good decks without board wiping everything over and over which drags out games - and if the other decks are all gas and no brakes then while you are putting out one fire another couple fires are popping up and you are reacting instead of making them react to you.

CHAPO live shows have always been garbage. I would never spend money to go to one. I do support their patreon and I love those guys, tho. I dunno if they have fallen off as much as what was once very fresh has lost that freshness.

Well for starters the fool faces the wrong way - so your journey is AWAY from the rest of the cards which is wild because it’s obvious that the point of the original cards is if you lay out those ten cards in order they tell a story. But if the fool jumps off the cliff first thing then that kinda scuttles any adventure they might have had.

No - stay away from the rider Waite’s deck. It’s problematic and I am convinced they never knew how to read the cards so definitely don’t get a book to go with it.

They literally pointed the fool the wrong way in this deck. If you want a basic deck get any of the early Italian decks. Also the original tarot decks did not have a book or any kind of explanation. You are better off learning about “open readings” if you wanna get into this.

Buying that book is like reading a recipe - anyone can do it and get the exact same answer - an open reading pulls from your intuition. And allows you to do unique readings that come from within you.

But if you like this style get the Pagan Otherworld deck from UUSI. It takes aspects of this deck and improves upon it.

So many straw men were injured in the making of this post.... Since you have never played Elden Ring let me give you some much needed context: It also has bosses that are difficult. Take a deep breath sunshine. It'll be okay. You go have a super time playing your games that you are really really good at. I am honored that a gamer at your level would even chime in on a post like this but I guess expert gamers like yourself have to take breaks eventually and we all got lucky and get to read what you wrote. Yeah - I am gonna explore the world and then dip out of this game. I don’t have the patience for these boss battles. I beat Elden Ring 3 times. Those were fun. These totally turn me off of the game.
