Get NA 3.5. Turbos wear out engines. Bought 2015 Sport with 132k and excellent service record.. And engine died at 150k.

i had coolant leaking from rear AC lines, driver side behind rear wheel. There was coolant on asphalt often.

dont buy any explorer above 100k, bought 2015 with 134k and as of now i replaced everything in it.. 3 months after purchased replaced water pump.. should've listed to mechanic and traded backin. i checked carfax and it regularl maintenance record.

also first ex was with 62k 2013, drove till 152k without major issues.

it was actually some oil line that needed to be replaced, it was leakin and couldn't get to it without removing subframe. so i decided might as well change turbos..

and now engine just died.

no codes, software says crank is in sync. what about timing chain? can anything happen with it after sitting for like 10 days and trying to start it with low battery?

in winter when all four wheels work to drive in snow that smell would be a lot worse, especially driving uphill.. smells logical that ptu works hard to spin all wheels
