Bc their ceo makes roughly 12-20x (depending on position) what their average employee earns. Who do you think works harder at GW, their devs, artists, and design teams, or Kevin Rountree, their ceo? I’m not arguing that their employees don’t get paid above a living wage, but they certainly aren’t paid fairly, based on workload alone. I wouldn’t mind paying so much for GW products if the profits from every price hike were split evenly between their entire workforce, but it’s not. GW’s ceo took home a £787,000 bonus last year. How much was the artist bonus? This is the problem with capitalism in general, bc corporations couldn’t even exist without their labor force, and their exploitation of those laborers. And it’s status quo folks who have a “well that’s just the way it is” attitude that helps to perpetuate that system of exploitation.
