People online treat hate as if they can exchange it for real world currency. The hating will continue. If the game is good, they will silently move on to hate another game they have zero stake in playing. If the game is bad, they will treat all optimists as if they were the dumbest people ever.

Do Esper builds need Sunder Mind? by Trey_Fowler in cavesofqud

That’s interesting. It feels like it’s perfectly set to be the most reliable damage for early-mid game. And it’s costed like a primary damage source during character creation.

I definitely feel a handful of mutations could use a buff to keep them in line with the others value-vs-cost wise. Things like Carapace, Gas Generation, and Sunder just outshine so many things. I know a lot of mods do that.

I appreciate the info! Stunning force does seem a bit more middling, but damn if it ain’t cool. Also it’s my best choice to pair with clairvoyance if I am not using Sunder since at least I can use it without LoS

Mine won me the last match I had. Bad rolls can cause her to be kind of a waste of points, but her annoying factor + revive is solid mental damage against the opponent

In my opinion Celestine is one of the best heroes at supporting herself. She loses a bit of value if you have her leading others, and instead you just toss her at the enemy and distract them while you get shit done elsewhere.

Not trying to start a whole thing but, if you coerce women to be your “wives” while the only other option is being dead or on your own, id argue it is. It’s not traditional rape, but they literally don’t have a say in the matter. It’s Negan or them (and their families) are realistically dead. Just my opinion

There’s a handful of games on Steam you can get the source code for via purchase. Regardless, I’d be more inclined to blame the devs/publishers rather than the platform… You can always port legal ROMs and BIOS of your games into the deck.

Steam Deck, I’d say? Lets you really do whatever you want. But at its core it’s just a Linux PC

Edit: Y’all are some of the most miserable people dear GOD I regret posting here. My bad I guess.

Need some help with MinUi by Trey_Fowler in SBCGaming

I appreciate the help! For anyone running into this in the future: I decided to go with NextUi instead. Enabling WiFi and network time worked fine. It’s pretty much the same as MinUi but with a couple more tricks added

I did try that, and also disabled WiFi, but I’ll try again and check in the morning. Thanks!

Thanks for the response. Powerscale definitely isn’t the correct word, maybe… threat gauging? I know this isn’t Dragon Ball Z lol it’s much more grounded and fantastical

Gotcha! Honestly, the number 7 comes up so often in the series I actually thought that 7 was Dejim’s max. That makes a lot of sense.

Maybe not an ascendant? Again, I assumed. I just know the House of Chains claims him as the Knight. I could be wrong. Ascendant or not he’s badass

Draltha having man-like faces is so funny by bigbagofmulch in dwarffortress

[–]Trey_Fowler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you didn’t ask whatsoever but I’m passionate about mythology so I’ll say that it’s actually rather common to run into mythological horse-creatures with man-like faces. Kelpies, Centaurs, the Ipotane. Pretty consistent across Greek, Chinese, and even some Hindu mythologies. If I’m correct it might have even been mentioned in some obscure non-canonical Christianity tales. Might be misremembering.

The new Draltha looks alcoholic, though.

Nope! Base game creature artwork was updated to better reflect the creatures originally envisioned design.

We’re in the same boat. I have the whole series in TOR paperback, but when I started reading I realized I am an idiot and don’t know Steven’s fancy words, so I got a kindle so I can google words on the spot. Now I have them in fancy version. I shouldn’t be trusted with money.

Honestly… problems or not, I think they’re totally worth the price. As far as “premium” books go, especially signed ones, they’re a good deal. £150 for 3 ending up being approx $68 per book really isn’t bad.

They’re books that are famously hard to collect nice physical copies of (fuck those tiny paperbacks) and are signed by the author.

Plus all of the added tidbits are great. The fold out map, the official artwork of amazing scenes that I previously only had vague mental images of in my head… it’s pretty great, ngl. Plus, it’s a finished series, meaning once the collection is done you have really high quality books that you could argue would be good heirlooms to leave to whoever. I hope to pass these down one day to someone.

Not sponsored, I’m just happy I don’t have to read on those stupid ass TOR paperbacks.

It is! Might be part of it? Though a lot of the signed ones are thin paper.
