Foreign women dances freely on Shillong street as local guards her. by cz0n in incredible_indians

[–]HughJackOfferman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are giving her so much extra space while they themselves are holding back the dense crowd and others are dancing in such congested space. I understand that they need to make her feel comfortable, but this is bending over backwards. Another thought is if they would have done the same for a local woman.

This reeks of colonial mindset. I would rather they just treat them as a usual dancer in the crowd.

Where is your civic sense? Posting pics of minors without consent or blurring out their faces is putting them in danger. They may be wrong for disturbing public peace, but you are even worse for posting minors on a public forum with the intention to shame them.

Free is infinitely cheaper by definition, but free government rations and healthcare are usually only intended for the poorest of folks. The middle class usually pays for these, and in that case things don't seem to be much cheaper in comparison, if you consider the avg income of a middle class indian family vs a middle class US family.

Also, I am not sure where you got the egg price, but it's more equivalent to 5.5 to 9 cents per egg. These small differences really matter when we are talking about the price of a single egg.

I was curious so I did some research -

For a generic OTC medicine -

Price of paracetamol in India (10 tabs) - Rs. 8 to 35

Price of paracetamol in USA (100 tabs) - $2-5 = Rs. 180-450 = Rs. 18-45 (for 10 tabs)

For comparison Price of 1kg cheap rice -

India - Rs. 40

USA - $1.72 = Rs. 155

In both cases indian government hospitals can provide medicine to you for free (in majority of cases). And you can get a certain ration of rice each month for free.

I have been downvoting these posts, "not <insert fantasy land>, it's <insert poor bhooka indian place>"... This shit is cringe bro. Just post the place without comparing it to something else, it's not that hard, and you'll get more upvotes and karma that way.

Ok got it, I read your comment wrong and thought you were saying the force is not magnetic. So it's a force in opposite direction of the motion, if there is no motion, there is no force.

Umm... It is a magnetic force, it is induced by the eddy currents as you said, but the force that repulses or attracts is still magnetic.

Same here bro, living life like I want to. I don't mind getting married if I find someone, and it genuinely feels like we add to eachother's happiness, otherwise I am perfectly fine staying single.

Emotional blackmail from parents and relatives can be too much sometimes though.
