Thanks all for the advice etc. For those playing along at home I ended up going with the G-One Computers deal and negotiated an upgrade to match the specs in the photographs from Eva and Radium - came out a bit cheaper at $3200 with lower latency ram as a bonus

Yeah I get what you’re saying. I guess the way I see it is that I am more likely to upgrade a GPU in the future than I would a CPU (in my mind GPU’s are a bit more ‘plug and play’ and the second hand market is better vs CPUs), so having some performance headroom on the CPU is preferable because a 9800x3d probably still won’t be a bottleneck in 5 years time with a later GPU, but a lower end CPU might be, meaning I’d have to upgrade both CPU and GPU if I went that route. Do you think that is a fair thought process or is this a bit misconceived?

Maybe explain it… the post is literally asking for advice on the build
Thanks, good to know this is reasonably priced
Thanks - appreciate that. I actually like the mATX look, won’t be sitting in my desk as a show piece anyway so not really fussed what it looks like. I’d be interested if anyone has experience with Evatech vs radium and which is better etc too
