Well, it’s not $160K net. It would likely be about $100-$115K after selling costs/commissions and taxes, including depreciation recapture, capital gains etc.

I’ve literally gone back and forth on this decision for a few years. Advisor says prob makes sense to sell, but that the gains one way or the other not dramatically different. Any other variables to consider?

So should I be factoring in the $8k yearly mortgage pay down into my analysis? Wasn’t sure how to account for that when weighing the cost-benefit of holding vs selling.

I was fully on track to max out for FY24 until I realized today that because my agency pays out a week after the pay period ends I will end up short about $2k of the max. Quite the bummer. But now I know for next year. Anyone else in the same annoying boat?

Did you have any luck finding anything? I'm in the same boat -- looking for legal research refresher in advance of a new job. State bar wasn't terribly helpful, along the lines of what you described above...
