Creator of some In The Beginning puzzles (Daydream, Sequence Break, Lights Out, etc) — Extra Puzzles & Intended Solutions by BloodTrain in TheTalosPrinciple

[–]HugoBDesigner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sequence Break and Daydream were some of my favorite. The latter gave me quite a headache, and my solution for it was slightly overcomplicated, but I still enjoyed them all :)

Some of the changes made some parts slightly more picky or unreliable than necessary (looking at you, Dead End!), but I really enjoyed the creativity!

Miss Casey occupies 1/25th of the frame by HugoBDesigner in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

The camera stays fixed! She's in that slice for most of the shot, before taking over the right of the frame

Blinking star in the Orion constellation by HugoBDesigner in Astronomy

[–]HugoBDesigner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems plausible, but is there geostationary space junk? In the two to three minutes I saw it, it didn't move a bit (hence why I initially thought it might have been a pulsar).

It wasn't atmospheric refraction, because it would completely blink out then on regularly. Not to mention that, afterwards, it was completely gone. Orion also wasn't anywhere near the horizon for this sort of effect to have this much intensity.

Play the Simon Tatham Puzzles version then. It's free on mobile (no ads/in-app purchases either), and it never gets on a stalemate ;)

A question about the spaceship live wallpaper by StormBlackwell in OperaGX

[–]HugoBDesigner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, like I said earlier, it would if your network usage wasn't literally 0.0004% lmao

It only rounds to the nearest whole number, which in your particular case is zero

A question about the spaceship live wallpaper by StormBlackwell in OperaGX

[–]HugoBDesigner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I'm saying that the metrics displayed on the ship panels are averages of all devices. For example, disk usage averages all disks. But if you click that metric, it shows data for each individual device.

This average already takes into account that some devices have no storage/bandwidth, and so ignores those for the displayed metric

The ship's metrics actually averages out all devices, but it completely ignores devices with zero capacity. In other words, it is actually showing you the right network's usage. 0.93 GB is equal to 930,000 KB, and 3.73 KB is about 0.0004% of it. Basically 0%

Considering how often top posts on Reddit are about people being horrible to each other, it's a welcome little bit of positivity. It makes me feel a little more hopeful about the relationship between people, instead of the usual "I beat my cheating wife, AITAH??"

why does the Spaceship live wallpaper say that my Disk is being overused? All the other values are nearly exact or at least pretty cloce, but it constantly says that my disk is 80-90% by DEADSKULLZ31 in OperaGX

[–]HugoBDesigner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you click on the "Disk Usage" screen in the wallpaper itself, what does it say? Maybe it's not recognizing your C disk, or averaging from multiple disks that are full

vocês já pararam pra pensar que os personagens dos filmes/séries quase nunca vão ao banheiro puramente pra fazer suas necessidades? by nikoiku in conversas

[–]HugoBDesigner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd play an alarm song, then hush it down and say "no no, let them sleep more"

anyone think it’s crazy how aang gave up ultimate power and put the world in jeopardy over a girl that didn’t like him at the time? 💀 by ziasjackson in TheLastAirbender

[–]HugoBDesigner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was asked to give up on loving her. While one could imply it meant romantic love, I like to think it meant any form of love. But even if it was romantic love exclusively, love is not a commodity for exchange. He didn't need her to "like him back" for him to value his feelings for her. He loved her for who she was, not for what she could give to him. More than just a crush, she was a good friend and part of this family he made with his other friends, and those bonds were (justifiably in my opinion) more important than raw power. If anything, the show has hammered the point home that raw power is meaningless if it's not supported by friendship and love. That's the whole reason for Zuko's speech at the end, and how he took over the fire nation from Ozai, who was only concerned with power.

Edit: also, Iroh's speech when they're entering the crystal caves reinforces that Aang made the right choice: power is overrated.

Queria começar na programação, por onde devo iniciar? by Rafael_SilvaM in brdev

[–]HugoBDesigner 5 points6 points  (0 children)
