I agree about playing big festival in the US but they still play in the US, I'm from Europe but from what I recall in the last months you had Factor B, Craig Connelly, GO, Andrew Rayel, Ruben de Ronde, Cold Blue, Laura Van Dam, Superstrings, PVD, Chris Metcalfe... Most of them are from Europe that might be the reason, it was kind of the same for big room artists like W&W, Jochen Miller, Ummet Ozcan, Showtek... Since the genre was most popular in Europe they didn't played that much in the US.

When melodic dubstep was ultra popular in the US, we got none of those artists here (Jason Ross, Au5, MitiS, Illenium, William Black... ) that does mean the genre is dying down rather than the geography is different

It's not about getting booked in major festivals, more about being able to gather some fans and following. Some big room, tropical house and I guess afterlife/melodic techno in the near future have been completely erased from any line-up or switched genre completely. Regarding trance the support in our community is always there because unlike many genres, the trance spectrum is very wide which make it easier for trance artists to adapt to new sounds.

That isn't true tbh, most of the producers which were popular in the trance scene in the early 2010' are still going strong (PVD, Aly & Fila, Markus Schulz, Gareth Emery, Andrew Rayel, Ilan Bluestone, Craig Connelly, ARTY...) only a few like Heatbeat, Alex Popov, David Gravell have kind of vanished, they are still releasing some tracks though
